In 2008, we, Marjo and Gerard, together with our daughter Naomi, left the beautiful Netherlands for the even more beautiful France. We found our dream spot on the edge of the Vosges mountains in the Haute-Saône department. Here we are the proud owners of an old water mill that we have converted into chambres d'hôtes.
Here, however, you will not find an ordinary bed and breakfast room but a spacious flat with a separate bedroom, a spacious bathroom and a kitchenette.
Our mill is situated on a beautiful spacious location of 2 hectares where the mountainous, wooded Vosges Mountains merge into the rolling hills with the farm fields of the Haute-Saône. The Ballons des Vosges regional nature park is a stone's throw away. A paradise for peace seekers, hikers, cyclists, mountain bikers and fishermen. The garden with its large pond offers you every opportunity to enjoy the peace and quiet and the murmur of the river. Various spots have seats and loungers so you can read a book, cast a line or just do nothing in privacy. Thanks to the many trees, you will always find a cool spot on sunny days.

Hiking
The Vosges and the Haute-Saône are pre-eminently areas for beautiful hikes and cycle tours. The varied landscape consists of forests, rivers and beautiful views. The peace and quiet, the space and the sleepy villages are a delight for every walker and cyclist. During your trips through the southernmost tip of the Vosges you run the risk of spotting deer, foxes, birds of prey or other wildlife. The routes are ready for you in the flat.
Cycling
France is a country of bicycles: this is certainly true of the Vosges and the Haute-Saône. The high ridges and rolling hills of these departments form an ideal backdrop for recreational and sportive cycling tours through beautiful nature. Moreover, the surroundings of Moulin le Thiéloup are a valhalla for mountainbikers.
Sightseeing
Enjoy nature and culture in the Vosges and Haute-Saône. Our mill is located on the border of these beautiful departments that are worth discovering. Visit the quiet villages, the spas with their past glory, taste the local products and feel the space of free nature. Cities such as Colmar, Nancy and Besançon are also well worth a visit.

Geweldig! Wat een heerlijke plek om volledig te ontstressen. Lekker ruim en schoon appartement, gezellig huis met mooie grote tuin en geweldige gastheer en gastvrouwen. Dank voor de goede zorgen!

We hebben van 1 tot 9 aug. overnacht op Moulin Le Thieloup.
Bij aankomst worden we gastvrij ontvangen door Gerard en Marjo.
We mogen overnachten in appartement Aillervillers. Een prachtig ruim en vooral schoon appartement op de tweede verdieping.
Elke ochtend krijgen we een super ontbijt dat bij mooi weer buiten op het terras achter de oude watermolen wordt geserveerd.
's Avonds genieten we van het goed verzorgde diner. Op de eerste avond krijgen we als extraatje zelfs nog een glaasje prosecco om het 5 jarige bestaan te vieren. Heel attent.
Het eten is heerlijk, en ondanks dat ik een dieet heb, word hier steeds rekening mee gehouden. Het eten is heel afwisselend en gevarieerd. Hulde aan de Marjo.
Na het eten wordt de vuurschaal aangestoken en zitten we gezellig met de andere gasten en een glaasje wijn bij het kampvuur.
Het is een prachtige plek om tot rust te komen. We hebben dan ook heel wat uurtjes met een goed boek doorgebracht op de ligbedden bij de vijver.
Het is allemaal op en top verzorgd het lijkt wel of we in een hotel vertoeven.
De omgeving is ook erg mooi, en er zijn volop mogelijkheden om te wandelen of je op een andere manier te ontspannen.
