The house
Maison Le Feu Follet is a guest house in Lormes (France), in the middle of the Morvan, since 1970 a Parc Naturel Régional. In the carefully restored house 3 nicely decorated rooms are waiting for you.
As a guest you can use the common living room on the ground floor (lounge, television, guest table). When the weather is nice, you can enjoy the pleasant terrace with a view of the garden.

Lormes is a village located in the Parc Naturel Régional du Morvan, in the department of the Nièvre, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, about 6 hours drive from Brussels.
In the Parc Naturel du Morvan, founded by François Mitterrand in 1970, only agricultural activity (mainly cattle breeding - Charolais - and forestry) and tourism are allowed. In this hilly landscape (highest peak 900m) with its typical meadows separated by hedges, you breathe in the pure air through the many spruce and deciduous forests, lakes and gurgling streams.
Besides the typical small villages with markets, local products and brocante, there are many other attractions within a radius of 75 km around Lormes, ideal for a day trip.

Wij waren vijf nachten te gast bij Patrick. Mooie B&B met een ruime gemeenschappelijke huiskamer/keuken en gebruik van het buitenterras. Parkeren kon op eigen terrein. Wij hadden kamer 'Pain Chocolat' geboekt, een zeer ruime kamer met eigen badkamer. Voor de hete dagen was de kamer voorzien van een bijna geruisloze airco. Er was veel loopruimte en het bed lag heerlijk. Badkamer was afgescheiden van de kamer, maar wel tamelijk open. Voor een stel prima, voor gebruik door twee singles wellicht handig een harmonicadeur of zo te plaatsen. Bij aankomst werden wij vriendelijk ontvangen door Patrick. De eerste avond heeft hij heerlijk voor ons gekookt. Het ontbijt werd ook prima door hem verzorgd. In de huiskamer was informatie over de omgeving en over wandelroutes te vinden. Het dorp Lormes lag op loopafstand van de B&B. Patrick gaf ons informatie over het dorp en de restaurants waar je het beste kon gaan eten. Ook lag er een klein meer in de buurt, waar je kon zwemmen. Kortom: zeer vriendelijke host, mooie B&B met luxe kamer, leuke omgeving. Een aanrader!

Hier kom je tot rust in een huiselijke sfeer. Met een aangename babbel zet Patrick je op weg om de streek te verkennen. ‘Savonds geniet je van een overheerlijke maaltijd. Netjes en gezellig. We kijken al uit naar ons volgende bezoek.

Samen met mijn zoon een week verbleven in de B&B van Patrick. Het huis en de kamers waren subliem: schoon, opgeruimd en alles nieuw. Ook oog voor detail en design. Ook een een fijn terras en tuin. Ontbijt en avondeten waren heerlijk. Ons verblijf werd onvergetelijk door de gastvrijheid van Patrick.
