The house
Domaine de Savigny estate is an attractive old hunting estate dating from 1860. The manor stands among the green Burgundy hills with views all around. The 2-hectare park garden has many large old trees, a pond, an old orchard and lovely terraces to enjoy. In the manoir Domaine de Savigny there is an attractive entrance hall on the ground floor with a spacious guest living room on one side and a fine dining room on the other where the atmosphere of yesteryear is still present. On the first and second floor, there are a total of 5 characteristic guest rooms.
Guest rooms
The five comfortable and cosy guest rooms all have a spacious double bed and each has its own bathroom, equipped with shower, toilet and washbasin. Each room has a sitting area. From the rooms you overlook the park and the green Burgundy hills surrounding the domain.

Domaine de Savigny is located between the green hills of the Bourgogne. The property stands on a hill, so you have an amazing view all around. You can enjoy the nice weather and the view on the terrace or take a walk through the garden and greet the cows that are chewing quietly in the meadow. The village is within walking distance (20min) and several villages and towns are easily accessible by car or even by bike. The Canal du Nivernais is 6 km away, in the summer it is often sailed and cycled along.

Activities
Whether you want to spend the week lazing on the terrace with a book or whether you want to go out and discover the outdoor possibilities of Burgundy, everything is possible! Mountain biking in the area of St. Saulge, white water canoeing on the Yonne, horseback riding through the hills, beautiful hikes where you will not meet anyone, a boat trip on the canals, swimming, rafting, sailing, surfing, climbing. The hills of the Bourgogne offer enough possibilities and the nearby Morvan can be called a Valhalla for outdoor lovers.
Besides all the sporting activities, Burgundy is also an important base for a large part of European history. In some places, it is literally on the street. In the cosy, atmospheric cities in the area, you will discover beautiful old churches and monasteries and between the hills, you will see beautiful old castles.
Furthermore, during the summer season, you can enjoy the cosy brocantes that are organised every weekend. A great opportunity to get hold of that one beautiful box or, for example, old crockery.
Cities such as Vézelay with its impressive Basilica de La Madeleine and Nevers with its majestic Palais Ducal are more than worth a visit and are just a stone's throw away. The cosy streets with nice shops and terraces in Nevers offer a nice change from the quiet green hills of the countryside.
