Beautifull, well equipped, nicely decorated gite. Lots of privacy and amazing views. Fantastic pool. Owners Andrea and Kevin go out of their way to make sure you have a great holiday. Fresh eggs from the chickens, a bottle of wine upon arrival, lots of information and help with finding and booking the nicest restaurants in the area etc.
We had an amazing time and would go back there in the blink of an eye!

We stayed here in September for a week with friends (who had already been there a week before we arrived). This was part of our trip around France in our camper van, and was a welcome break from all the driving. The cottage is located near Nontron in a very peaceful location with lovely views and amazing sunsets! There are both front and side "patio" areas to catch the sun at any time of the day. It was so restful, most days we didn't leave there until after lunch, returning in the evening for a bbq. Kevin and Andrea are a lovely, friendly couple and were perfect hosts, leaving us in peace but always on hand if we needed anything. It is a perfect base for touring the area with Brantome, St Jean de Cole and Perigueux particularly lovely - and the markets there very lively. If we are ever in this area again we would certainly book another break.

This was a less touristic area. Nontron is not too interesting but we found Pardoux very charming with a fine hotel restaurant. We enjoyed a concert at St. Pierre and local markets and no Americans to be seen.Brantome with its charm and fine eating places was an easy trip.St JEAN DE COLE IS THE PERFECT SMALL VILLAGE. The gite was charming and it was a joy to wake up to the horse in the pasture and the distant pastoral view, Most admirable were the wonderful hosts, who were so helpful and informative, especially when we had a medical issue.

We were looking for accommodation not too far from Nontron whilst house hunting in the area. Le Puy was perfect not only because of the location which is a few kilometres outside of Nontron, but also standard of the rooms, guest lounge and the wonderful table d'hôtel which was absolutely excellent. All guests dine together with the lovely Irish hosts, Kevin and Andrea, it makes for a delightful experience. I thoroughly recommend staying here or if preferred, two gites are also available should a longer stay be desired. The house is situated down a narrow track, follow Kevin's directions carefully and you will not get lost. It's quiet, tranquil and the view is fantastic. Have a wonderful stay!
