The house
The detached farm house from 1897 was completely renovated in 2001, while original features such as wooden ceiling beams on the ground floor, the boiler room with large fireplace and walls of almost a meter thick have been preserved.
The house meets all modern requirements, has central heating, a modern bathroom, three bright bedrooms, two toilets. The interior is completely new. The authentic details, together with antique accessories in the living area, the house exudes a cozy atmosphere in which you will feel at home. Around the house there are several patios, a veranda, a brick barbecue and a spacious garden.
The unique location of the house with panoramic views over the valley, surrounded by nature of the Cantal, ensures privacy and tranquility. The house is equipped for six adults. Upon request, a cot can be placed. The house is cleaned on arrival and the beds are made.
This location is also suitable for courses, training for cyclists, walkers, birdwatchers and golfers.

The holiday cottage is located in the municipality of Le Claux, near the volcano Puy Mary.
Le Claux lies between two regional cities Riom-es-Montagnes and Murat, 95 kilometers southwest of the provincial capital, Clermont-Ferrand.
The property is located on a ridge called Eybarithoux, on the highest point of the village (1,300 m) and the location offers a wonderful view on the valley of the Cantal. The farm house is in a peaceful setting on a cul-de-sac. The only sound you hear are cowbells in the distance.

Through a beautiful mountain road you reach Salers, an authentic medieval village. The house is situated on La Route des Fromages A.O.P. d'Auvergne, giving you the possibility to visit one of the many cheese makers and take a peek in the kitchen. Also, local wine is available at the farm.
The Auvergne is known for its delicious local food, which naturally you will find on menus everywhere.
Activities
There is plenty to do in the area. From trout fishing in the lake to para-sailing above the volcanic valleys. Sports enthousiasts can fully enjoy themselves in the Auvergne. The area is ideal for cycling, mountain biking, hiking and horseback riding. Several times this volcanic area has been the scene of the Tour de France. Within an hour's drive are 4 different golf courses that are of good quality and have some elevation changes which ensures the necessary challenge. In winter cross country skiing is possible in the forest about 2 km from the house.

Besides the farm house we also rent out Gite Puy Mary. This cottage is located 100 meters from the Farm House.
