The house
We warmly welcome you in our house: an old pottery of Dieulefit.
We offer a relaxing environment close to the centre of Dieulefit.
Our house is a village house with shaded, fully enclosed terraced gardens overlooking the Jabron.
The gite/La Bignone 2 "côté jardin" is located between the two terraced gardens. It is accessible from the street via a separate entrance and a gently sloping staircase.
It comprises:
- On the ground floor: a terrace with a table, 4 chairs and a parasol. A living room with a BZ sofa which opens into a 140 wide bed, 2 armchairs, a coffee table, a TV and a library. A fully equipped kitchen with 1 table and 4 chairs.
- On the first floor: a large bedroom with two 80 cm wide beds, a wardrobe and a desk and a shower room with toilet.

Een ruime gite met op de verdieping grote slaapkamer. Een dag probleem gehad met warmwatervoorziening (werd vlot opgelost) en een vlotter in het toilet die kapot ging.(ook in een dag opgelost). Bekend was al uit vorige recensies dat de WIFI het alleen deed bij de trap buiten. Daar viel mee te leven, gewoon je krant even buiten downloaden. Op het eind van de vakantie was er vlg Nadine wat hersteld aan de WIFI en deed die het ook binnen. Het zwembad was heerlijk tijdens het warme weer en er zijn genoeg schaduwplekken in de prachtige tuin. De bakker en restaurants e.d. Lagen op 5 tot 10 minuten lopen. We hebben de auto slechts 1 keer hoeven te gebruiken om wijn te halen bij een cave.
De supermarkt op 1 km kon je makkelijk met de fiets bereiken. De omgeving was prachtig om te fietsen. Nadine was erg behulpzaam als je wat wilde weten . Ook de buurvrouw die de tuin deed e.d. Als Nadine in Parijs was , was ook erg aardig en je kon wat aflachen met haar.

Fantastische tuin,10 meter zwembad,vogelgeluiden, top !
Maar ook : er komt nooit direct zonlicht in huis ,dus lezen bij lamplicht.
Buiten zitten geen optie door muggenplaag, citronellakaars van verhuurder helpt niet merkbaar. Binnen nieuw meubilair, maar nog een oude lawaaikoelkast, en een zeer bekrompen oud keukentje in een soort archiefkast. Wij hadden 4 dgn geen warm water en nóóit werkende WiFi. Plek is prachtig !

Thank you for taking the time to write a comment.
I am glad that you enjoyed the garden and swimming pool.
But unfortunatly you experienced some problems during your vacation.
First: the internet didn't work all the time. As I explained to you at the time, the reason was that a storm had damaged the provider's material. Unfortunatly it took time for the internet provider to do the repair.
Second: the furnace broke down and we were without hot water saturday morning and monday late afternoon. Here again the technicien came and repaired as fast as possible.
I was sorry for all these problems and made a financial gesture by reimbursing you one day of vacation.
Regarding the studio I am surprised by your comment because: you had seen the descriptif and the photos on gîtes.nl. You knew that the kitchen was small and that thé studio was under arcades. Concequently it doesn't get direct sunlight and is very fresh which makes it very pleasant during the heat of summer.

fijn huisje vlakbij het centrum , met alle voorzieningen, fijn zwembad en genoeg zitgelegenheid op meerdere plekken in de tuin. Jammer dat de wifi niet werkt in en om het huisje , daarvoor moet je buiten naar boven richting het huis van Nadine zelf.

Visit Le Poët Laval, one of the most beautiful villages in France (5 kms away), its museum of Dauphin Protestantism and its commandery of the Order of the Hospitallers of Saint John of Jerusalem.
Discover in the surroundings: the castle of Grignan and its festival of correspondence, Nyons and its olives, or Crest, Die, Vaison la Romaine, Roussillon, Avignon and Aix en Provence.
Visit Montélimar and its nougat factories.

Wander through the narrow streets to discover the potters, art galleries and shops.
Indulge in the Provençal market on Friday mornings, with its local produce, such as picodon (goat's cheese), nougat, honey, olive oil and lavender.
