The house
The living area of the house is +/- 140 m2, and can accommodate up to 6 people. The layout is as follows: living room at garden side with French doors to terrace with sitting area and dining table; new living room (2018) at the front with French doors and TV and lounge sofa; kitchen diner and recent modern bathroom with bath, toilet, Italian shower and double washbasin; WC in separate room on the ground floor; 3 bedrooms: the first with a double bed, the second with a bunk bed and a double bed, the third (new in 2018) with a double bed, single bed and washbasin. Above the living room is a mezzanine with sofa and TV. All beds have duvets. Toys for children up to 8 years available (boys and girls). Wifi available (also RJ45 sockets).

The house forms, together with five other houses, the hamlet Verchère (municipality Voissant) and is located within the borders of the Parc Régional de la Chartreuse. The surrounding Chartreuse Mountains are a wonderful challenge for hikers and cyclists. Picturesque villages, such as the nearby Le Pont-de-Beauvoisin (5km), make an unmistakable impression. A dip in Aiguebelette Lake (10km), the warmest lake in Europe, should be on everyone's programme. The Chartreuse is a wooded area full of peace and quiet that unfolds before your eyes via mountain passes and winding roads on steep ridges high above turbulent mountain streams. It is a location that lends itself to meditation and prayer, and 900 years ago, the "Chartreux", the Carthusians, founded the famous monastery of the Grande Chartreuse here. The small winter sports villages in the heart of the Regional Nature Park and the unspoilt nature are an invitation to quiet contemplation and long walks. A lush forest covers almost 60% of the total area. It is the smallest park of the pre-alpine massifs and is an ideal terrain for outdoor sports.

Voor de tweede maal in dit heerlijke huis verbleven, en nog niet uitgekeken. Zwembad, huis, rust, omgeving, alles is even goddelijk, zelfs bij regenachtig weer! We komen zeker nog een keer.

Wij hebben een hele mooie vakantieweek gehad in dit heerlijke huis. Een prachtige Franse buitenkant en van binnen modern en schoon. Het is rustig gelegen maar leuke uitjes en voorzieningen zijn prima aan te rijden. Onze kinderen waren erg blij met de mooie speelgoedkast vol boekjes, playmobil en duplo. Na een uitje voelde het echt als thuiskomen om heerlijk in het grote zwembad te kunnen plonzen. De keuken is compleet ingericht met o.a. een mooie ruime koelkast en vriesvak. Wij vinden dit huis en de omgeving echt een aanrader!

Wij hebben het ontzettend goed gehad. Het gezegde 'als een god in Frankrijk ' gaat hier zeker op. Wij zijn altijd op zoek naar een rustige comfortabele plek om te verblijven en de luxe van winkels in de buurt . Deze vakantie was een goede mix. Het huis is voorzien van hele dikke muren zodat het heerlijk koel blijft. Buiten in de tuin is het heerlijk rustig met alle natuur elementen om je heen. Klein dorpje met paar huizen en op ca. 5km. een stadje met meer dan drie grote supermarkten voor de boodschappen. Wij hebben uitstapjes gemaakt naar het mooie meer van Annecy en tevens een bezoek gebracht aan Lyon. Had graag langer gebleven.

Lake Aiguebelette : A swim in Lake Aiguebelette (10km), the warmest lake in Europe, should be on everyone's agenda. The Lake of Aiguebelette is located in the heart of the Rhone-Alps region and the pre-Alps, near Chambéry and halfway to Lyon and the renowned high mountain ski resorts. It is an ideal place for a holiday stay and to discover the Savoie and its immediate surroundings. But also for visiting different natural parks and alpine massifs in this region. The Lake of Aiguebelette, symbol of "green tourism", is hidden between the foothills of the Jura and at the edge of the Alps. It is the third largest natural lake in France. The Lake of Aiguebelette is an ideal environment for swimming and relaxation, but also for practicing a wide range of recreational activities: a trip on the water by pedal boat, bicycle tourism, crossbow shooting, mini golf, badminton, tennis, etc. The Lake of Aiguebelette offers a wide variety of exciting sports:
- cyclocross (mountain biking),
- and nautical sports, such as canoeing, kayaking and rowing,
- In addition, horseback riding and adventure sports such as para-sailing, rock climbing and canyoning,
- In the spring of 2000, a Via Ferrata saw the light of day on the flanks of the l'Epine mountain range

Further remarks
Behind the house (+/- 400 years old) is a lovely garden with new private heated swimming pool of 5m by 10m. The pool can be easily and quickly closed with a manually operated roller shutter and is therefore childproof. There is also a beautiful plane tree that provides the necessary shade. The garden is fully enclosed and lockable with a gate. In Pont-de-Beauvoisin you can go for all your shopping (especially to the supermarket SUPER U).
