The house
Holiday home Les Quatre Terres is a large, renovated wine manor situated in a magnificent wine area ( Beaujolais) with a wonderful view of the vineyard. Even though it is not secluded you will be stunned by how peaceful it is.
Beaujolais is beautiful, somewhat hilly with pretty wine villages with wine 'caves' and castles. It is the Tuscany of France! No tourist crowds here, as most people only drive past this beautiful area. We have guests that have stayed with us for years.
The wine manor is built in a square shape, so with a large courtyard. It consists of two homes but with a maximum of privacy.
This luxury home, with a living room (8x12 m) fireplace and large cosy sitting area, has an open kitchen. The kitchen is complete and attractive. The property is adjacent to the garden.
You will feel right at home here.
The living area is very comfortable and luxurious, with four large French windows that give a view of the garden and the vineyards. Three French doors lead out to the covered patio and one is on the back of the house where there is another seating area.
A master bedroom is located on the mezzanine (very attractive) with two single beds with adjacent a separate room with sink and built in wardrobe.
On the first floor a new bedroom with bathroom has been created. The view from here over the Beaujolais is unique.
Downstairs adjacent to the hall another new room has been realised. (single or children's room).
Kitchen towels and bed linen are included in the price.
This house is ideal for a larger party. There is a studio for 2 people and the second house can be used as the main home.
There is satellite television.
The pool is located on the south side of the garden and measures 6x11 metres. There is a shower with hot water, large terraces, sun beds, chairs with cushions and parasols Here you also have a great view of the Beaujolais.
The large swimming pool is, according to French regulations, completely fenced.
There are several basements. One has the washing machine and room to dry laundry. The other basement is used for garbage and recycling storage . Our local caretaker will look after it.
The third basement, the wine cellar, was recently refurbished in its original style. It offers space for socialising in an authentic atmosphere.
There is parking space on the north side of the house ..

Een prachtige omgeving, fijn contact met de beheerders Ineke en Theo en heerlijke rust. Het appartement is groot, best luxe en straalt gezelligheid uit. In de omgeving is voldoende te doen, van wandelen , fietsen, tot wijnproeverijen en in de buurt ook wat grotere steden. Het zwembad met ligplaats is ook prima en geeft een schitterende kijk op de omgeving. Kortom, we hebben een heerlijke vakantie gehad.

We werden hartelijk ontvangen door Theo en Ineke (beheerders) en hebben genoten van deze heerlijke plek om vakantie te vieren. Een ruim en schoon vakantiehuis en een mooi terras bij het zwembad met een eindeloos uitzicht over de wijnvelden zijn waardevolle ingrediënten om tot rust te komen. De omgeving biedt veel mogelijkheden tot wandelen en fietsen (elektrische ondersteuning is fijn) en de wijnproeverij bij de biologische wijnboer op loopafstand kunnen we van hart aanbevelen.

We hebben een zeer leuke vakantie gehad. Vriendelijke onvangst, proper huis met alle nodige voorzieningen. Paul en Tiki zijn zeer aangename,vriendelijke mensen.
Restaurants, food & wine
This region is also on the culinary map. Your host has a list of about 25 restaurants, selected from simple to very exclusive.
In the house is also a folder with all sorts of information of the region; museums, amusement park, etc.
Activities
Two tennis courts are open to you, about 100m from the house.
In 2016 we bought two new bicycles for you to use.
For mountain bikers, it is a fantastic setting.
You can make a wine tour through this beautiful region and visit the wine houses of the grand crus, Morgan, Brouilly, Fleuri etc.
To the east is the Saone valley, with its rich cultural past. Ville France is 6 km from the house, and here you can have fun shopping in the high street that runs right through the city.
Macon and Bourg en Bresse are other lively cities to visit. Lyon is 30 km away from the winery. A fantastic city.
On the west side are mountains with forests and well worth a visit, as it is a beautiful walking area and you can enjoy the beautiful nature!
In the immediate surroundings are beautiful golf courses, which are always open.
Nearby is a theme park / zoo Touroparc interesting for children up to 12 years old.
The largest bird park in Europe is also near by.
The following activities are possible in the nearby area (max. 30 minutes by car). Swimming, golf, hiking, mountain biking, horse riding, water sports, flying, gliding, tennis, climbing park.

Further remarks
The caretaker and his wife who live in an apartment on the outside, ensures the security and maintenance of the building, the garden and pool. He is fluent in French, Dutch and English and can, if necessary, give advice, but will certainly not impose.

Outside high season we are flexible in the minimum number of nights.
The holiday home is suitable for 5 people. We also have a studio for rent (sleeping 2), 250 euros per week, including cleaning costs.
The studio is adjacent to the hall.
