The house
Totally renovated farm cottage in a peaceful village in the heart of Burgundy.
A perfect base for exploring the local area. Ideal for wine lovers and cyclists.
Les Papillons was built in 1826 but has undergone a total renovation which was completed in 2017. There are 2 double bedrooms, each with their own staircase and a shared bathroom. Downstairs offers a cosy sitting room, WC and a fully fitted, modern kitchen. Heating is by electric radiators and a charming wood stove in the kitchen.
There is an above ground (unheated) circular pool, 5 metres in diameter and approx 1 metre deep. You will have exclusive use of this during your stay. The pool will be available during the summer months.
Children & Babies. Whilst we welcome babies, due to the stairs and the layout of the house, it is not suitable for children under 5 years old.
Pets. Dogs (small) only are permitted by prior agreement with the owners. There is an additional cleaning fee of €40 per stay. Pets are not allowed upstairs, on the furniture or in the swimming pool.
We regret that charging of electric vehicles is not permitted.
The owners are not liable for the provision of the swimming pool in the event of any local or government imposed water restrictions.
Arrival is after 16h and departure before 10h, unless previously agreed.

PUITS is a quiet village of 140 inhabitants in the north of Cote d'Or.
There is no commerce in the village, but the next village (3 km) has a small shop (which sells bread, croissants and essential supplies) and a cafe/restaurant. The nearby market towns of Chatillon-sur-Seine and Montbard (both 15 km away) offer all the usual facilities of supermarkets, banks and restaurants. Montbard has a train station with access to the TGV service to Paris (1 hour).
For wine lovers, the area sits just 30 minutes from the Champagne region, 40 minutes from Chablis and an hour from Beaune.
Food lovers may choose from a number of local restaurants and markets.
If you are a cyclist then the endless traffic-free roads will appeal and as keen cyclists ourselves (road and MTB/VTT) then we'd be happy to recommend some routes.

Heel fijn huis, met heerlijk zwembad, alles super netjes in orde met hartelijke ontvangst door Richard and Caroline. Rustige omgeving maar veel wandelopties. Fietsen ook prima te doen. De tuin is met hond heel relaxed en volledig omheind. Al met al perfecte plek om tot rust te komen en van daaruit de omgeving te ontdekken

Wij hebben een hele fijne week in jullie huisje gehad waar het ons aan niks ontbrak. Het zwembad in de heerlijke grote tuin werd zeer gewaardeerd. De vriendelijke ontvangst door Richard en Caroline voelde als thuiskomen en we konden met alles bij hun terecht. Het huis ligt in een zeer landelijke en rustige omgeving waar je met een auto of een sportieve fiets goed uit de voeten kan. Voor ontspanning en rustzoekers is dit de ideale plek om vakantie te genieten.

We hebben een geweldige week gehad in de gite van Richard en Caroline. We zijn bijzonder gastvrij ontvangen. Ook gedurende het verblijf waren zij bijzonder hulpvaardig. De gite is schitterend en van alle gemakken voorzien. Het privé zwembad is daarbij absoluut de kers op de taart.

Good restaurants are available in Chatillon-sur-Seine (15 km) and Montbard (15 km). There are 2 bars in Coulmier-les-Sec (3 km), which also offer dining.

Towels are provided for use in the house only. We ask that guests bring their own towels for use by the swimming pool.
Cleaning is included, but we ask that the house is left in a reasonable condition or a charge may be deducted from the deposit.
Pets are welcome, but we request that they remain downstairs and off the furniture. Pets are permitted only by prior agreement with the owners. There is an additional €40 cleaning fee.
Local taxe de sejour (additional) is charged at time of booking.
