La Muse

This little paradise, only six hours' drive from Utrecht, is suitable for one to a maximum of twelve people and offers everything a person needs to feel happy. It consists of two parts, a cottage and a barn, which makes it extremely suitable for large groups. You always rent the whole thing and everyone is free to choose the rooms they prefer.

The cottage (1764) was converted in 2014 in old style into a fairy-tale gîte with on the ground floor the living room (with old fireplace and a wood stove) and a kitchen. On the first floor there are two bedrooms (1x double bed and 2 x single bed).

The enormous barn attached to it has been transformed into a beautiful space suitable for many purposes, such as; family reunions, trainings, workshops and other group occasions. There are yoga mats, extra air mattresses (for groups larger than 12) and a piano. On the first floor there are two toilets, a bathroom and six cosy rooms in different styles, each with an appropriate name: Le Bonheur, La Nature, La Nuit, La Passion, L'Inspiration and La Musique. Through the balustrade you have a view on the large (workshop) space with a wood stove, a piano and a large table where you can easily eat with twelve people. Below the rooms is the lounge area in wooden style, with a lovely, large lounge sofa, TV, mini-kitchen, reading corner and also a large table at which you can eat together or (until late at night!) discuss life!

At the end of the large room you come out in the beautiful, sloping garden (75m deep - 1800m2) with its many corners and terraces. There you can be sociable with each other or you can retreat to read a book in the hammock or hanging chair. To cool down, there is a large swimming pool. At the very end of the garden is a bush; through a short forest path you will reach a bench where you can enjoy a phenomenal view of the landscape and the sunset.
