The house
La Petite Maison has a living room with a sitting area, a spacious dining table with 6 chairs, a fireplace and a wood-burning stove.In the room there is a DVD player and a stereo system. In the bookcase you will find, among other things, tourist information.
On both sides of the house is a terrace with wooden garden table.
The kitchen has a 4-burner gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge, kitchen cupboards with various electrical appliances (toaster, blender and juicer among others), plenty of crockery and cutlery.
The bathroom has a spacious shower, sink and toilet and a cupboard for toiletries. The kitchen and bathroom have a ceiling with authentic but low beams.
Upstairs, via a steep staircase, there is a spacious landing with a bedroom on either side; one 'master bedroom' with two single beds (2 x 0.90 x 2.00 m) together, the other has two separate single beds (0.80 x 2.00 m). A cot and high chair are available.
At the front and back of La Petite Maison are two terraces, each with a wooden garden table with 4 chairs. You can also use the large garden (over 3000 m2) with fruit trees and a beautiful view, part of which is at your disposal. Here you will also find a trampoline, a sandpit and a swing for the children. The other part of this large garden is for the residents/renters of La Grande Maison. The Morvan Regional Nature Park is located in the heart of Burgundy. The region is recognisable by its hills with the characteristic white cows (Charolais), the hedges and the picturesque views. There are beautiful old forests, steep rocks and the fast-flowing rivers are popular among canoeists. The vast lakes are a true paradise for water lovers. In the south-western part of the Morvan is Chatin, a small town with less than 100 inhabitants. At 800 meters from the village lies La Petite Maison, completely detached with views from the garden over the rolling countryside and in the distance the capital of the Morvan, Chateau Chinon. In this town with about 2500 inhabitants you can do your daily shopping. The old towns Vezelay, Avalon, Saulieu, Lormes, Autun, Beaune are very worthwhile both culturally and to visit a Burgundian restaurant.

Een klein en gezellig huisje, waar voldoende verkoeling te vinden is als het buiten te warm wordt. Het beantwoordde helemaal aan de omschrijving op de website. De tuin is fantastisch, de kinderen hebben er urenlang gespeeld op en rond de trampoline. We hadden het geluk de eigenaars te ontmoeten, zeer vriendelijke en gastvrije mensen. Een ideale plek voor wie rust en kalmte zoekt, net als de Morvan in zijn geheel trouwens.

Wat een heerlijke plek in de Morvan is dit! Heel sfeervol, schattig huis met een prachtige tuin. Wat een ruimte. We hebben met onze kinderen genoten van de rust en ruimte. Als je hiervan houdt en van een authentieke entourage, dan is La Petite Maison in de roos!

Wij hebben enorm genoten van la Petite Maison. Het is van alle gemakken voirzien en heeft een fijne tuin waar altijd wel schaduw is. We genktrb ook van de prachtige omgeving waar het heerlijk wandelen is. Fietsen kan ook wel, maar dan moet je wel wat sportiever zijn dan wij, want al die heuvels trokken ons wat dat betreft niet zo aan. De eigenaren van de beide huizen waren er gelijk met ons en zij gaven ons een zeer welkom en gastvrij gevoel.

Where better to eat than in Burgundy. Many simple to culinary restaurants are located in this region. The beautiful wine chateaus are located along the wine routes towards Macon and Beaune. Here, there are many possibilities to visit a castle or a wine tasting. Think of Nolay, Givry, Meursault, Pommard and many others.
Activities
Hiking, there are numerous described routes, both on hiking maps and self-guided and described routes. There are also numerous routes for mountain bikes. Swimming at 7 km in the quiet Lac de Pannecière and for the enthusiast the more touristic Lac des Settons at 25 km with many activities in the water and around the lake. Many small streams in the immediate vicinity. There are several riding schools where you can make guided trips. In Autun there is a 9-hole golf course. For the golf enthusiast there is an 18-hole course in Nevers and near Saulieu. In the surrounding villages there are cosy markets with delicious regional products. In the summer there are numerous brocantes, music festivals and various French events.
Daytrips to cities like Vezelay, Beaune, Autun, Nevers and the wine region of Burgundy are also possible.
