The house
It is a romantic cosy house in the beautiful nature area of the Morvan.
You enter the house in the modern kitchen with all amenities. Next to it is the bathroom with modern walk-in shower. Two steps higher is the living room with tiles, beamed ceiling, wood fireplace, sitting area with TV, a dining area and a door to the garden. A large metal French bed completes the picture. On the first floor there is a large attic with two three-quarter beds, a book corner and a large games table.

The house is located in Chaumard, a nice village centrally located in the nature park of Morvan, 750 kilometres from Utrecht. The house is 50 meters from a large lake, Lac de Pannecière, with a beautiful beach under the oak trees. Within walking distance is the village. In the village is a nice creperie with a cozy terrace. The savoury crepes look a bit like a pizza but the thin, sweet crepes are also delicious! They also sell ice cream and fries to take away. There is a jeu de boules court in the village and a cosy restaurant with a large terrace. The area is hilly. There are nice towns nearby such as Château-Chinon and also the larger cities such as Autun, Avallon, Vezelay and Nevers can be reached within 60 minutes by car.

Met veel plezier hebben wij hier een week vakantie doorgebracht. In een schitterende omgeving.De gites licht op 50 meter van een stuwmeer in een zeer stille omgeving. Je wordt 's morgens gewekt door een concert van vogels.
Je vakantie wordt voor een groot gedeelte bepaald door het weer, maar zeker niet in de laatste plaats door je logeeradres. La vie en rose is een gezellige woning met een openhaard die zeer van pas kwam in de toch wel koude nachten. Zeer aan te bevelen voor mensen die van rust en een mooie natuur houden en een "Frans huisje".

We can recommend many delicious restaurants to eat in and caves where you can taste and buy wine.
Activities
Relax or read in the beautiful peaceful surroundings and in the evening eat out in one of the nice restaurants in the neighbourhood. Or active: swimming in the lake in front of the door, surfing or canoeing (surfboard and canoe available) or walking, cycling, horse riding, playing boules. Everything is possible.

Further remarks
When you arrive, the bed linen is already on the beds. The owners are available to assist you in case of language problems, illness, babysitting, etc.
Prices do not include electricity charges (average consumption is about €.15 per week) but they do include bed linen, cot or high chair, pushchair and toys.
