La Marquise

The house is an ideal holiday home for 2 persons, also spacious enough for 3/4/5 persons plus baby / toddler. Located in a hamlet (hamlet) in the middle of the beautiful Burgundian landscape. Do not expect a sleek modern house. We have opted for a comfortable and attractive house. There are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms plus 2 toilets, upstairs and downstairs.
Extra available crib. Do you prefer to leave the Netherlands early in the morning to relax in the afternoon? That is possible, because the house is only 660 km from Utrecht. The dog is also very welcome, but can be consulted and for a small fee. A few kilometers before arrival you stop at the bakery in the village for a crusty baguette. Or go straight to the Carrefour for a nice cheese, a Burgundian wine and the first necessities.
When you arrive at the house, after you have unloaded the car, you can safely put it in the garage, because the most beautiful walking and cycling trips can be made from the front door. (2x possibly for rent). You are surrounded by beautiful nature, with beautiful views, rolling landscapes and picturesque villages. Places where time has really stood still.
The garden is completely fenced, so let the dog you bring along explore the area. If the weather is not so nice, don't worry because there is also a lot to do and / or visit in the immediate vicinity for both young and old. There are many activities from April to November.
Don't feel like cooking yourself? In the surrounding villages there are a number of nice locations where you can be pampered for a mere amount. There is a booklet with addresses in the house. There is also always a local market somewhere nearby.
All in all, this is a wonderful place to completely recover from everyday worries! And to fully enjoy a wonderful holiday. There really is total peace and tranquility!

In summer this space is wonderfully cool and in winter it can be heated well by means of the insert wood-burning stove and the two separate electric radiators. When the evenings get shorter and / or a bit colder, you can sit inside in one of the four comfortable armchairs in front of the fireplace, listen to music and relax after another wonderful day.
You may prefer to relax with a book. There is excellent lighting for reading, or you can choose to watch TV, we have satellite reception with Dutch channels, RTL, etc. There is also a DVD player. Chromecast for possibly Netflix / HBO and / or YouTube music
Do you want to use the internet or email, no problem, there is WIFI. There is also a stereo system including a CD player.
In the spacious "farmer's living room" is a generous monastery table with 4 chairs. More chairs, a high chair plus playpen are available.
If you enjoy cooking, you will be able to enjoy the spacious and fully equipped kitchen with the wide 5-burner gas stove with wok burner and grill oven. For even more inspiration, there are a number of cookbooks. The garden room is adjacent to this space. Here is a desk and a click clack bed for an extra sleeping place.
Downstairs
A separate spacious shower room with washing machine and a separate toilet.
From here you can access the terrace and garden through French doors.
In the utility room, annex storage room, there is a large freezer / fridge combination, a microwave and grill plate.
The ground floor has no thresholds, and because of the practical and complete layout, this space is suitable for older people or if you prefer not to walk stairs for whatever reason.
