The house
The gîte is built in the former stable of our farm and has the following layout.
You enter the room in the living room, from where you have a beautiful view over the valley. The room has a sitting area, TV, wood stove and laminate flooring.
From the room you enter the fully equipped kitchen with a dining area. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, a 4-burner stove with oven, fridge with freezer and a coffee machine. Crockery, cutlery and pans are available.
The bathroom has a shower and washbasin. Toilet is separate.
The downstairs bedroom has a double bed of 1.40 x 2.00 metres.
The staircase in the living room takes you to the upper floor where there are 2 bedrooms. One bedroom with two single beds of 0.90 x 2.00 metres and one bedroom with one single bed of 0.90 x 2.00 metres. All bedrooms have laminate flooring and a wardrobe. The beds are made upon arrival. You need to bring your own towels, kitchen cloths etc. On the top floor is an extra room with toilet and sink.
Next to the cottage is a sheltered terrace, from where you have a beautiful view and you can see deer and foxes walking. A garden set is also present.
Dogs are allowed, although there are rules for them.
In our reception there is a washing machine and dryer, which you can use against payment.

Our gîte is situated at ca. 650 metres height on a dead-end road in the middle of the regional nature park the Morvan.
The Morvan is a hilly landscape in the green heart of the Bourgogne with many forests, meadows, streams and beautiful views. There are often clear nights and you can enjoy a beautiful starry sky.
Here, you can still hear the silence and find nature, peace and space.

Restaurants, food & wine
Burgundy's good reputation for gastronomy is known worldwide. A trip through the vineyards and a visit to a wine tasting is worthwhile. Here, you will find, for instance, the Chablis and the Crémant de Bourgogne. Also the dishes Boeuf Bourguignon and Coq au Vin are world famous.
Activities
The Morvan is ideally suited for hikers, cyclists and those looking for peace and quiet. There are many walking and mountain bike trails. At ± 2 km from the cottage lies the large and beautiful Lac des Settons with many small beaches where you can sunbathe and swim, rent canoes and pedal boats or make a round trip. One can also fish in this lake.
On a cultural level, the Morvan has a lot to offer. There are many beautiful castles to visit. In Bibracte, an old Gallic city, there is an archaeological museum and archaeological excavations can be visited. Autun is a beautiful old Roman city with many attractions.

Further remarks
You can order small bread rolls from us daily. The baker comes twice a week. At 8 km distance you can do your daily shopping and the supermarkets are about 20 km away.
In our reception you can buy various homegrown products, such as various jams, walnuts, free-range eggs and, depending on the season, various vegetables.
Next to our reception we have a small brocante. There are also books that can be borrowed.
Wifi is available in the cottage.
Near the gîte is our mini-camping where you can use a table-tennis table and a jeu des boules court.
On arrival you will receive all kinds of information about the Morvan.
In the high season reservations are only possible per week.
In the mid- and low season it is possible to deviate from the length of stay after consultation.
The prices include gas, electricity, water, firewood and bedding, excluding € 0.55 tourist tax per person per night.
We do not charge cleaning costs. However, we trust that the cottage will be left as clean as found upon arrival. Dishwasher detergent and cleaning products are available.
When booking for 2 weeks or longer, we give a discount of € 25.-- per week.
After consultation it is also possible to rent our gîte with more than 5 persons.

Het is en blijft n geweldige plek! Wij zijn hier nu voor de derde keer! Twee keer met caravan en nu in de gite! Alles aanwezig en genoeg luxe!! Gertjan is een schatje! En doet alles voor je! Verse broodjes elke ochtend en verse groente zo uit de tuin en wordt nog bezorgd ook! Een aanrader voor iedereen die rust zoekt en van de natuur houdt! Een heerlijke week in een fijne gite in een prachtige omgeving. De Morvan is een aanrader voor natuurliefhebbers. Dank voor je gastvrijheid! We hebben geboft met het weer, 1 dagje regen, de rest stralende zonneschijn. Wat wil je nog meer? De nachten zijn hier zo stil, heerlijk. Een plek om volledig tot rust te komen. We hebben genoten! We hebben een heerlijke week gehad in deze rustgevende omgeving. Veel gezwommen in Lac de Settons, de jongens waren veel aan het tafeltennissen en ’s avonds in de gezellige gite spelletjes doen. ’s Ochtends in de zon ontbijten in volkomen stilte met uitzicht op de koeien, heerlijk! Kortom voor elk wat wils. Bedankt voor je hartelijke gastvrijheid!
