The house
The gite is a farmhouse built in 1865, largely in its original state with beamed ceiling and tiled floor. Cosy living room with fireplace and stove. You have Dutch satellite TV, WIFI, a good sound system, Dutch books and many games.
Via two steps you reach the fully equipped kitchen with 4-burner induction hob, microwave oven, Senseo coffee machine, kettle etc. and bathroom-toilet with washbasin, walk-in (rain) shower. The washing machine is also located here.
Upstairs two well-insulated bedrooms under the cockpit beams, one with two single beds of 90x200 cm. and one with a double bed of 180x200 cm. with an extra top mattress.

The gîte is the last house in the hamlet of Champrobert, where the tarmac ends and two cart tracks (routes rurales) begin. Fantastic views of Mont Beuvray and Mont Touleur ( Gallic and Carolingian ruins). Idyllically situated on a meadow where deer can come out of the woods in the evening. Large private grounds , south-facing terrace with BBQ table. You can enjoy the ultimate Champrober feeling in both sun and shade. The yard is completely fenced and very dog-friendly. You can quietly leave your dogs alone outside for a day if you go sightseeing or wine tasting.

Activities
The Gîte is an ideal starting point for hikers, mountain bikers, horse riders and in winter for cross-country skiers who want to follow their own trail. Also a very good starting point for those looking for a house in the Morvan. Water sports are 40 km away. Those who seek peace and quiet will find it on their own terrace. The wine regions are within a half hour drive. Cities worth seeing like Autun, Beaune, Nevers and Vezelay offer themselves on days when the sun doesn't shine as much.

Voor de tweede keer in dit heerlijke huisje, en het was weer heel fijn, alleen deze keer was het weer erg wispelturig, we hadden het soms zelfs een beetje koud, en hebben helaas maar 1x buiten kunnen ontbijten.
Maar om te wandelen was het weer perfect de eerste dagen, de tweede week was het eigenlijk weer te warm om te wandelen;-)
We zijn ook naar Bribracte geweest, dat was wel interessant. Voor de rest niet veel gedaan maar genoten van het uitzicht en bijgetankt, we kunnen er weer tegenaan!Willem en Ankie from D.,
Weer terug in Dordrecht na ons vierde bezoek aan dit schitterend gelegen huisje.
Gezellig ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien, je voelt je er thuis.
Zit je de laatste avond bij het haardvuur naar buiten te staren naar het fantastische uitzicht, dan weet je het zeker!

Genieten van het wandelen in deze mooie omgeving met koeien, hertjes, vossen en haasjes.Een waar paradijs zeker ook voor Filou de Blije Schapendoes

Begin oktober verbleven wij met onze border collie in ‘la frontière du paradis’. We zijn helemaal verliefd geworden op het huisje en op Champrobert! Bij aankomst wisten we direct: dit is het. En bij binnenkomst werd het alleen maar beter, zo’n sfeervol en knus huis waar het aan niets ontbreekt. We hebben een heerlijke week gehad en toen we al enigszins bedroefd over ons vertrek zaten ze ontbijten, kregen we tot onze vreugde een berichtje van Patrick & Paul dat we nog een dagje langer konden blijven, super! Eigenlijk hebben we niet veel gedaan, juist omdat het zo fijn is om in de tuin te zitten en uren te genieten van het prachtige uitzicht (en ‘s avonds van de geweldige sterrenhemel) en natuurlijk van alle (roof)vogels, reeën, hagedisjes en koeien. Als het dan eindelijk echt te fris werd, naar binnen, kachel aan en een uurtje of wat turen naar het vuur onder het genot van een glaasje wijn. De goed afgesloten tuin is erg fijn als je een hond hebt. Onze hond genoot zichtbaar van de vrijheid en verstopte telkens z’n kluifjes op verschillende plekken in de tuin om ze vervolgens weer op te zoeken. Vanuit het huis kun je direct heerlijke wandelingen maken en trouwens ook heel goed verdwalen en je kuitspieren trainen ;-). Het huisje en Champrobert komen nog dagelijks ter sprake en het liefst waren wij helemaal niet meer weggegaan, dus wij komen zeker terug. Dank ook voor de heerlijke fles wijn die klaarstond bij aankomst!
