The house
New on Gites!
The living room of this cosy cottage is still in its original state from the early 1900s, with a heavy oak beamed ceiling and with local floor tiles.
The original bread oven with cast iron door is still present and together with the wood stove under the limestone mantelpiece, it gives you a feeling of being back in time for a hundred years.
A kitchen corner fitted with an extractor hood and decorated according to the atmosphere of yesteryear, invites you to try your hand at culinary delights.
A glance outside, through one of the windows, will amaze you with the beautiful hilly landscape with its meadows, hedges, solitary oaks and the white Charolais cows. The garden of 4000 m2 offers a lot of privacy.
The bedroom also has an oak beamed ceiling and tommettes. The in-wall linen cupboard with panel doors makes the image of yesteryear come true. The tastefully made and comfortable beds (which can be joined or separated) guarantee a good night's sleep.
The bathroom with toilet, shower cabin and washbasin is decorated in light colours and more than meets today's sanitary requirements.
The garden, with many plant borders and rose beds, can be reached via the door to the terrace with sunny seating area, where you can fully enjoy the peace and quiet.
There is Wifi in the gite.

Een heel fijn huis. Ruime woonkamer met een fantastische sfeervolle houtkachel. Een uitstekende frisse badkamer met fijne douche. Wij kwamen aan met nog laat zomerweer maar al snel werd het echt herfstig. Toch nog in de eerste dagen kunnen genieten van het terras aan de ruime achtertuin met diverse fruibomen en vogeltjes en waar ook regelmatig de huisfazant kwam buurten. Ook een paar keer leuk gefietst langs het Canal de Nivernais (vooral het stukje met de 16 sluizen bij Epiry is heel mooi). en bij Panecot kan je het fietsen combineren met een lunch in het daar aanwezig restaurantje. Gastheer Jan is top heel attent en behulpzaam. Kortom we bevelen het iedereen van harte aan.

Het waren heerlijke dagen in de gite . .Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig . Het was er schoon en netjes. In de koelkast stond bij aankomst wijn, bier en water koud. Op tafel wat zoutjes voor erbij. Hoe attent , dat was na een lange autorit zeer welkom !! Het zonnige terras ligt achter het huis , waar je uitkijkt op de mooie verzorgde tuin vol bloemen. We hebben leuke uitstapjes gemaakt naar de dorpjes rondom . Jan kent in de omgeving de lekkere restaurantjes en weet veel over de omgeving te vertellen. Het huisje op de foto’s ziet er goed uit, maar in werkelijkheid vonden wij het nog gezelliger.‼️💥

Een heel aangenaam appartement in een landelijke omgeving. Appartement van alle gemakken voorzien, eigenaar is aardig en behulpzaam, woont ernaast.

You can go hiking, biking, visit Nevers, Moulins, visit historical buildings, swim in an outdoor pool at Honoré les Bain.
Cycling along the Canal du Nivernais with its flat cycling paths.
The Morvan is a low mountain range with beautiful nature and many lakes, where you can fish, swim, sail and row.
Bibracte Mont Beuvray with its archaeological museum.
Bibracte, a Gallic city founded two thousand years ago, where a Dutch speaking guide will show you around.
Stroll around at the many flea markets, which are organised in abundance during the summer period.
Vezelay, a place of pilgrimage and for many centuries already the starting point of pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostella from the impressive basilica Saint Marie Madeleine.
Nevers, with its gigantic cathedral and ceramics museum, are both worth a visit.
Just make a tour through the Nièvre and be amazed by picturesque villages where time has stood still for centuries.
