The house
Wonderful independent house, in a natural setting, built around 1850 and renovated whilst maintaining the authentic French features. Spacious open plan kitchen with dining table (also billiard), wood burning stove and all amenities.
Living room with open fireplace and French doors, with view on valley, forest and meadow (with cows). 4 Spacious bedrooms on 1st floor, one of them has an open fireplace, all of them have double beds. There is a cot at your disposal. On the ground floor there are 2 bathrooms, with baths. There is a washing machine and a tumble drier. Apart from the stoves there is central heating. In the shed you will find garden furniture and tools. Furthermore there is a hi-fi set, lots of books, games, a billiard and a large trampoline and swings.

Set on one of the highest mountains of the natural park of the Morvan, on one side the forests and on the other side the meadow, accompanied by the sound of a near stream. The house is situated on a small road where there are only 3 houses. Larger towns to visit are Autun, Chateau Chinon, Saulieu, Beaune, Vezelay and Nevers.

Restaurants, food & wine
The area has several great restaurants, like Auberge de l'Atre in Quarre les Tombes or in Saulieu and Autun. More information about small restaurants in the neighborhood you'll find in the gite. In the gastronomic towns of Saulieu and Autun there are also many shops. Don't forget the wine tasting: Chablis and to the east the Burgundy wines like Pommard, Meursailt, Beaune and so on. The owners will be happy to let you taste their products!
Activities
Swimming is possible in the Lac des Settons (10 min) as well as in the quieter Lac de Panaciere (15 min). In Lac des Settons also watersports are possible, there is gear for rent. In both lakes and in the streams fishing is possible. Europe's longest walking trail is here on your doorstep (La Grande Randonnee), and the area is also suitable for ATB. In Autun, Nevers and Pouilly en Auxois there is golf. Rafting and canoeing on the rivers, or cross the forest with a 4-wheel drive.

Bed linen can be provided for 12 Euros per week per double bed. Electricity: 5 Euros per day in high season and 8 Euros per day in low season.

Mooi en ruim huis in een prachtige omgeving. We hebben ons uitermate goed vermaakt in, om en rond La Grange Vermoy. We hebben genoten van de grote tuin, de goed gevulde boekenkasten, smaakvol ingerichte vertrekken en comfortabele bad- en slaapkamers.

Fijn groot huis in een meer dan prachtige omgeving. Wij hadden helaas niet het allerbeste weer, maar het huis biedt voldoende mogelijkheden om toch heerlijk vakantie te vieren. Lekker koken in de grote keuken, op avontuur in het bos of wegduiken in een van de vele boeken. Wij hebben een heerlijke week gehad.

Mooi en groot huis in een mooie omgeving, Achterzijde prachtig uitzicht vanaf het terras op wei met koeien. Kinderen kunnen lekker in de tuin spelen, zoals trampoline springen of schommelen. Riviertje vlakbij was ook leuk om langs te struinen, en veel leuke dingen in de omgeving zoals jonge zwijntjes in het 'enclos a sangliers'. Goede bedden en fijne douche en bad. Verder spelletjes, boeken en strips aanwezig. Heerlijke vakantie gehad!
