The house
Peacefully situated in a hamlet in the Morvan National Park at an altitude of 400 metres is our detached house with 3 bedrooms. From the road (with its own entrance) there is between the grange and wine cellar another room that can be used as a sleeping place.
The bathroom is accessible from the main bedroom which is on the first floor. The living room is located between the main bedroom and the kitchen. Between the living room and kitchen there is a separate toilet. From the kitchen you can access the large terrace. From the living room you can reach the 2nd bedroom (also a playroom for the children) and from this room there is a passage to the 3rd bedroom.
From the terrace you go via a stone staircase to the (higher located) backyard. The back garden can also be reached by a path alongside the house that was once used by locals to walk to school. Once in the backyard (1400m2) you have a beautiful view of the surroundings.
In the living room there is a DVD player connected to the TV. A reasonable collection of children's series and films are present. For lovers of books on cycling, there are a few nice copies in the bookcase. For (small) children there are some games, books and crafts available.
N.b. Currently there is no Wifi / Internet / TV reception present. We use the 3G/4G network (sometimes with a bit of a varying range).
Personally, we find it nice to once what less to use the phone and if you really want the reception upstairs in the garden on the porch is sufficient.

The house is located in La Chaume, a hamlet that is part of the municipality of Cussy-en-Morvan. Autun, an old Roman city with a medieval cathedral as main attraction, is just 20 km away. This house is very suitable for people who are looking for peace and quiet and like to be in the open air. La Chaume is a small hamlet with some permanent residents. The nearest facilities are in Cussy-en-Morvan (épicerie, hairdresser, town hall) and Anost (some restaurants, small supermarket, butcher, plan d'eau (small lake for swimming) with small playground.
In Autun you can find everything. Several large supermarkets, restaurants, market, etc.)

Dit huisje is gelegen in een prachtig gebied waar je echt volledig tot rust kunt komen.
Het idyllische landschap zorgt ervoor dat je helemaal kunt ontspannen.
Het is een geweldige omgeving om rond te rijden met de fiets, ik heb er enorm van genoten.

An hour's drive along the Burgundian vineyards brings you to Beaune, and Dijon is not far either.
Activities
At about 20 km driving you find the Lac des Settons, a lake where you can swim, sail, water ski, surf, row and pedal. Around La Chaume there are several MTB routes of which one even runs almost through the backyard. There are also beautiful tours to make with the racing bike. More information about beautiful routes for the road bike and GPX files I can provide as I have been cycling through the Morvan for years. Also for the walkers among us, there are beautiful trips to include the Haut Folin (with its 900 meters the highest peak in the Morvan)

Cleaning costs are included but we assume that our house is left tidy.
The price does not include electricity. We use a price of 0.25 cents per kWh.
Water is included at a reasonable consumption. If it is considerably higher, these costs will still be charged.
For the possible use of the woodstove there is wood in the chimney. More wood is available (for a fee).
