The house
This picturesque holiday home La Cave is for rent for up to 6 persons. The gîte is situated on the grounds of Chassigneux, a three-hundred-year-old former farmhouse on top of a hill in the quiet French countryside. The house offers stunning views over Parc Naturel Regional du Morvan. It is detached, and has authentic details such as exposed wooden beams.
Every room in the cottage is comfortably and cosily decorated. On the ground floor is the kitchen-living room . The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas cooker and oven, water kettle, washing machine, coffee maker, microwave oven, fridge-freezer and dining table. The living room is comfortably decorated and has satellite TV, DVD player and a cosy wood burner. It also has a sofa bed which can create two extra sleeping places.
The upper floor has two more bedrooms with wooden floors and beams. The floor is a former hay loft, whose wind holes are filled with glass elements, giving a fairy light. One bedroom has twin beds, the other has a double bed. The spacious bathroom has an extra large shower with WC and wooden floor. The second bedroom has acces to a private terrace, which has a swing bench, chairs, a barbecue and a wonderful view over the Morvan.

The cottage has a wonderful view over Parc Naturel Regional du Morvan. The villages Issy L’Eveque and Luzy are only 5 minutes driving by car. There you will find all amenities such as supermarkets, bakers, pharmacies, butchers, cafes and restaurants.

La Cave est située dans un environnement bucolique et verdoyant, entourée de pâquerettes et de jolies vaches charolaises et leurs petits veaux. Le calme absolu !
Le gîte est confortable et spacieux, la cuisine fonctionnelle dispose de nombreux ustensiles, les lits sont douillets, le poêle assure à merveille sa fonction.
J'ai passé un agréable séjour accueillie chaleureusement par Mirella, toujours disponible et bienveillante.

Holiday home La Cave is the perfect place to relax and enjoy everything Burgundy has on offer. At 5 minutes are villages Issy L’Eveque and Luzy where you can enjoy delicious French cuisine and wine in various restaurants. The daily markets with fresh local products are certainly worth a visit. No wonder we regularly welcome gourmets as guests in our gîte; there are several well know star restaurants in the vicinity. Burgundy is known for its wines and you can visit wineries in Beaune, Macon, Sancerre etc.
Activities
There are lots of activities possible which are as varied as the beautiful landscape. The land of the good life, as Burgundy is, has delicious wines, historical (world heritage) and famous cities. Nature lovers, walkers, mountain bikers, golfers, watersport lovers (i.e. rafting), can indulge in the stunningly beautiful Parc du Morvan.
There are daily markets to visit in the many charming villages in the area.
