l’Orangerie

The Orangerie is a spacious holiday home for max 5 people with furnished terraces in a private garden, from where one has a magnificent view over the park and the swimming pool is available within a range of 50 m. The building is equipped with every comfort within its authentic setting, where modern materials and furniture have been avoided as much as possible during renovation. Because of the high ceilings and large windows, there is a magical light that gives the room a very special atmosphere.
The" Orangerie" is a large room where, from the 19th century on, plants were grown and potted plants, such as orange trees, were kept during the winter. The Orangerie still has this function, but is now rented out from spring onwards as a gite. Small practical adjustments have been made for this purpose, without affecting the original character. All the elements that have been added to the space, such as lamps, garden decoration objects and the furniture are tailored to the character of an Orangerie.
In the main room, there is a sitting area with sofa, armchairs and front fireplace; a sleeping area with a large four-poster bed; a small kitchen with natural stone sink and countertop and some hidden a dishwasher, oven and fridge and, next to it, a kind of studio area, where to eat, work or draw.
A separate bedroom contains a double bed (140x190) and via a staircase a mezzanine is reached where a wardrobe, a single bed, table and chair are found. The gite is intended for 4 people, but can possibly accommodate a 5th.
The bathroom housed in the former boiler room contains a massage bath with shower, a toilet and a sink.
There is an outdoor terrace hidden in the vegetation with views over the park; next to the terrace is also a barbecue, so during long summer evenings you can prepare your meal outside. Of course, the entire park is available and everywhere you will find special places to settle down with a lazy chair among century-old trees to listen to the silence!
The (heated) swimming pool is not the traditional bright blue one, but rather a basin with a fountain, designed in the character and sizes (6x12m.) dictated by the surroundings. With its spacious terraces, loungers, lavender massifs and unusual trees, a paradisiacal setting has been created here where guests of the gites can find a divine stay with plenty of privacy. The indoor pool in the chateau is available when the outdoor pool is not comfortable enough, especially in early spring. The property's monumental entrance gate remains closed to all except guests via a code to park their car on the property.
