The house
General: Holiday home with swimming pool!
The detached house is fully and beautifully furnished in the atmosphere of the house with antique tables and mirrors, only new sofas and beds. When we are there, we want to live as pleasantly as you do! Le Champmartin has recently been renovated; kitchen, bathroom and toilet have been completely renewed.
Since 2022, we have our own charging station, making the house very suitable for people with electric cars!
We have also made a covered terrace where we also have part of the wood storage and where you can enjoy sitting.
Living room:
The living room is tastefully decorated with antique furniture and mirrors and there is a large fireplace with wood burner. The living room has a sound system and a TV with satellite reception and a DVD player. The well-known Dutch TV channels such as Nederland 1-2-3, RTL4, SBS-6, as well as hundreds of foreign channels are received. Dutch radio stations can be received in digital quality. The ceiling with its old oak beams has been restored to its original style. Walls are "en Pierre" or in authentic style.
Kitchen:
The fully equipped kitchen has a 90-centimetre wide 5 burner gas cooker with electric oven and extractor hood, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, combi microwave, coffee machine (Filter coffee machine, Nespresso machine).
Bathroom:
The bathroom is equipped with bathtub, shower and double washbasin and a washing machine and tumble dryer in a separate room.
Dining room:
The dining room has a large dining table with eight chairs and a sideboard with the crockery.
Through the entrance you enter the hallway, with the toilet at the end of the hallway.
First floor/bedrooms:
On the landing, behind the stairs is a washing facility with a double sink. Also on the landing is a double sofa bed. On the left are two identical mirrored bedrooms, the bedroom at the front has a new double bed (size 140x210), the room at the back has two single box-spring beds (size 80x200) which can be linked together. To the right is a larger master bedroom with a new double bed (size 160x210).

The house is easily accessible and is located in a small village (hameau) of about 20 houses. You enjoy a lot of privacy, without the house being remote. Because the house has thick walls and is well insulated, it has a pleasant temperature inside even in summer.
The well-tended private garden has front and back terraces, and a covered terrace. There is always a nice spot in the sun or shade. The private swimming pool measures 8.30 metres, is round and has sun beds and loungers. Where the pool is at ground level, there is a fence because of French legislation. This is very safe if you have small children! There is room for 2/3 cars on the driveway/parking area. The garden has an automatic watering system for the flower beds.
At 4 and 8 km are two towns with basic necessities such as bakery and butcher, doctor, supermarket, bank with ATM, etc.

Jullie villa in Lainsecq is ons erg goed bevallen. Wat een rust op het Franse platte land. Super ruim en compleet huis. De leefkeuken en douche/bad kamer zijn schitterend gerenoveerd en van alle gemakken voorzien. En wat een fantastisch grote tuin, met heerlijk zwembad. Eekhoorntjes, vlaamse gaai, puttertjes, duiven en nog veel meer dieren, met hun eigen typerende geluiden, heerlijk als je een boek leest onder de parasol, op het ligbedje bij het zwembad. En de sterrenhemel in de avond. Zo mooi hebben we die hier in Noord-Holland niet; veel te veel strooilicht. Verder is er binnen 45 min rijden ook genoeg te zien en te beleven. Echte aanrader. Sommige auto's rijden wel erg hard voorbij, als ik één minpuntje mag benoemen en dat hoor je wel als je het slaapkamerraam open hebt. Maar dat raam kan ook dicht, of je gebruikt de slaapkamer, wat verder van de weg, dan gaat dat ook prima. Wij zouden graag nog langer zijn gebleven. Wij hebben in jullie vakantiehuis een heerlijke week gehad. Het is een erg mooi huis met een mooie grote tuin. Het is van alle gemakken voorzien, smaakvol ingericht en rustig gelegen.

Restaurants, food & wine
Famous wine cities such as Sancerre (fantastic town), Chablis and the more distant Beaune and Dijon are definitely worth a visit. The medieval village of Noyers and Vezelay are also worthwhile. For those who love castles, a drive along the Loire is also a possibility. When booking the gite, an extensive description is provided. In it are, among other things, attractions and nice restaurants mentioned.
Activities
Golf
There are 19 golf courses in Burgundy, of which four (2x9 and 2x18 holes) are in the Yonne region. The most beautiful one is about 40 KM away on the estate of Roncemay.
Guedelon:
For some years now, a few kilometres from our house, a medieval castle with medieval tools has been under construction.
Saint Fargeau
Saint Fargeau is the capital of the region "de Puisaye". In the castle, a spectacle with more than 600 actors and 60 horses is performed every year in July and August.
Parc de Boutissaint
At 9 kilometres from Saint Fargeau there is a 400 ha large ancient forest where it is fantastic to walk. Some 400 different kinds of animals live there, including bisons.
Beaune
L'Hospice de Beaune is a hospital from the 15th century, which was run by monks at the time. The buildings with the colourful roofs are mentioned in every brochure about Burgundy.
Chateau de Treigny
13th century castle in a very impressive state, also the pottery of the region is for sale.
