The house
Your holiday home has a cosy living room with dining area, fireplace and a cosy sitting area. There is a television with satellite connection in the sitting area. The living room has French doors on both sides, one set gives acces to the beautiful terrace.
On the terrace is a barbecue that you can use. Many guests choose to eat their supper on the terrace with the backdrop of the setting sun, which slowly disappears behind the forest. And you can see heated pool with spacious sun beds from the terrace. The children can take a plunge in the swimming pool in the evening and you can keep an eye on them while enjoying a drink and a snack. On the other side of the house, the doors open out onto the veranda, where you have a view of the huge garden (3000 m2).
Also, your accommodation has a kitchen with oven, microwave, gas hob, dishwasher and fridge / freezer.
Upon arrival the manager will provide you with kitchen linen: a kitchen towel, tea towel and dishcloth. If you need more, we ask you to bring your own.
In the basement are the washer and dryer which you can use.
The house has a TV, a DVD player with plenty of DVDs, games, swing and accessories, a petanque court, volleyball, football and table tennis.
And of course, do not forget the heated pool.
There are three bedrooms, two of them have a double bed and the other has two single beds.
We ask you not to smoke in the house, but only on the porch and the covered terrace.

The holiday home is just a 1.5 hour drive from Paris and a stone's throw from the historic towns of Saint-Sauveur and Saint-Fargeau. The cities of Auxerre and Vezelay are only a half an hour's drive from your home. Here you can enjoy the pleasant shopping streets, local markets, the many terraces and of course the French brasseries, where you can enjoy a bite to eat and a drink.
The city of Auxerre has a lively city centre with a rich history, still present in the many old churches and buildings.
If you prefer beautiful nature and some peace and quiet then we advise you to visit nature park Morvan.
The Yonne region, named after the river Yonne, is excellent for walking, cycling, mountain biking, fishing, boating and horse riding.
Certainly worth a visit are the vineyards of Sancerre, Chablis or Irancy. And in the evenings you can enjoy the wine you have just bought on the terrace of your holiday home. These wines of course go really well with a Burgundy meal. The ingredients for typical Burgundy meals and the many varieties of French cheese can be bought on the local markets. Enjoying all this in a wonderful setting and lovely climate will certainly feel like you are living the good life!

We hebben een prachtige 3 weken gehad in Thury
De eerste 10 dagen ‘top-zomer-weer’ daarna ‘herfstweer’ ! Het huis is super comfortabel alle gerief is aanwezig ! De keuken is heel modern uitgerust. De living is heel aangenaam verblijven... heel aangenaam zijn ook de 2 terrassen en natuurlijk niet vergeten het syper leuke zwembad in een mooie omgeving!
We hebben veel kunnen bezoeken o.a. Toucy, Saint-Vérain, Saint-Fargeau, Sougères, Moutiers-en-Puisaye, Mailly-le-Château.....
zeker ook niet te vergeten de mooie rustige wandelingen die je kan maken rond de woning - zalig tussen de velden...
Annick , de franse dame, die ons ontving was heel behulpzaam en vriendelijk!

Wij bezoeken al vele jaren vakantiewoningen in het Bourgogne gebied, of wat daarbuiten. En vinden de omgeving erg aangenaam. De reisafstand is ook goed te doen. Wat deze woning speciaal maakte is de staat waarin het verkeert. Het is allemaal zo nieuw (nieuw tuin meubilair buiten, mooie badkamer met inloopdouche. En niet te vergeten het prachtige zwembad! Alles is heel mooi schoon en netjes. En, heel fijn, dat miste ik in vorige woningen, ruimte genoeg in de keuken, lege lades, waar ik mijn eigen meegebrachte dingen kon opbergen.
Ik als amateur (natuur) fotograaf kon een paar bijzondere foto's maken. Van een Adonis Blauwtje (Vlindertje, komt in Nederland niet voor), Parelmoervlinders, een Blauwe IJsvogelvlinder (komt ook niet voor in Nederland) en van prachtige Blauwvleugelsprinkhanen.
Tijdens ons verblijf kregen we bezoek van Annick, een Franse dame die kwam informeren of alles naar wens was. Ze was erg enthousiast en gaf veel tips met behulp van een door haar meegebrachte kaart waar we mooie dingen konden zien in de omgeving. Erg leuk. Dan was er ook nog een Poolboy, benaming niet passend bij deze aardige Nederlandse man die het onderhoud van het zwembad op zich heeft. Hij komt eens per week.
Het uitzicht vanaf het terras over de velden is echt mooi. We hadden een puppy bij ons, die dus eigenlijk alle kanten op wil, maar dat kon ook. Ruimte genoeg om te rennen!
We hadden echt mooi weer, dus lekker gezwommen en genoten.

Ik kan het niet nalaten jullie dit mailtje te sturen. Enkele dagen geleden zijn we teruggekeerd na twee weken in jullie vakantiehuis in Thury te hebben doorgebracht. Het moet gezegd zijn; het is werkelijk een schitterende plaats om je vakantie door te brengen. Het huis (netjes verzorgd, alle mogelijke voorzieningen aanwezig), de tuin, de omgeving, het zwembad, ... al deze dingen waren dik in orde. Dit heeft er voor gezorgd, samen met het aangename weer natuurlijk, dat onze vakantie meer dan geslaagd is. Wij hebben er echt van genoten. Ook de kinderen waren zeer enthousiast (gezelschapsspellen aanwezig, het zwembad, het tafelvoetbalspel). We hebben onze batterijen er echt kunnen opladen zodat we weer vol energie terug van start kunnen gaan en nog lang kunnen nagenieten van die heerlijke 14 dagen. Top !

In the area around your holiday home are many sights. Think of castles, beautiful cities, local markets and festivals.
For those who like to be active: there are also several places to rent bicycles. The wooded area is excellent for cycling and walking trips.
Whether you are a wine connoisseur or just a wine lover, we can definitely recommend a visit to one of the many wine tastings. The vineyards of Sancerre, Chablis, Irancy, Champagne can all be found in the area around your holiday home.
Horse riding is possible in one of the many stables in the area.
For golf lovers this area has many possibilities, you will find yourself close to one of the finest golf courses in France.
Also located 15 km away from your accommodation a large lake for swimming, boating, fishing and water skiing.
About 10 minutes away is a large discotheque, in case you had enough peace and quiet and are looking for a party. On Fridays and Saturdays you can dance the night away here.

Further remarks
This beautiful house is located in the heart of Burgundy. If you are looking for peace and quiet in your holiday, this is the perfect spot! You can use the heated private pool with sun beds. The garden is entirely enclosed by a beautiful hedge, it ensures privacy and safety for playing children and pets. You can enjoy the sun and the garden without having to worry about keeping an eye on your children.
It is now also possible to book a similar property across the street in combination with holiday home Thury, if you want to spend your holiday with a larger group or two families you can enjoy going on holiday together but still have privacy.
Both houses have a terrain of approximately 3000 m2 and are completely fenced. And both houses have pools which you can use.. Pets are not allowed in the 'combination' house and change over day is only on Saturday here. Please keep this in mind! .

The energy costs will be deducted from the deposit.

The meter readings will be taken by the manager on arrival and departure.
