The house
The front door leads into the large kitchen/dining room. This room is light and airy and holds a large wooden table and chairs for 6 persons. There are also ample appliances including a microwave and washing machine. From here you walk into a large lounge with again ample seating for 6 people. The lounge area has a wood burner and large TV. Fibre Optic WiFi is available throughout the property.Off the Lounge is a small utility area, which has a door to the outside and leads on to the bathroom. This is a great area to come into, straight from the pool and into the bathroom. The bathroom is a great size with a shower, sink and toilet. From the lounge there are wooden stairs to the upstairs, which has a stair gate fitted securely at the top. To the right is a large bedroom with double bed, hanging wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside tables. From the halfway is the door to the toilet and to the right of this is a bedroom holding two single beds, and bedside tables. Further down the pretty landing is a further bedroom with double bed, hanger for clothes, chest of drawers and bedside tables. At the front and side of the property is a large garden area.There is an ample sized terrace with table, chairs and BBQ. To the left of the property through a gate is the secluded large heated swimming pool. The pool is heated during the summer High Season months and is 5m x 10m. Shallow one end at 1m going up to 2m at the deep end. Linen and towels are provided. For a two-week stay, fresh towels and linen are provided at the start of the second week.

From ridges to valley bottoms, the landscapes alternate between moors, peat bogs and rocky chaos and offer an unforgettable discovery conducive to imagination and contemplation.The Locarn moors form a complex of 350 ha of natural environments. Different types of moors follow one another: high moors with European gorse, short moors with heather, wooded moors as well as peat bogs.Part of the Landes de Locarn is the Gorges du Corong , also very easily accessible just a few km away from the property.

Heerlijke twee weken in juli, in mooi gerestaureerde gite. Veel privacy, prachtige, rustige omgeving. Bezienswaardigheden wel op aardige rijafstand, idem winkels, supermarkten, leuke restaurants, maar daarvoor krijg je volop rust, stilte. Heerlijk zwembad, naast het huisje. Zeer hulpvaardige, vriendelijke eigenaar.

The pretty village of Maël-Carhaix is 9 minutes away by car where you can collect your morning croissants or bread and has a small store, Doctors and Dentists, should you need them. For music lovers, during the month of July there is the 3 day Les Vieilles Charrues Music Festival which is popular and has big headliners. Goas Teriot is 14km away, so ideal for those wishing to attend. For a day out, you have wonderful places such as Valley of the Saints at Carnoët. It's an historic site, a land of legends, and the birthplace of incredible monumental sculptures all in one. A must see and only 13km away by car. For walkers amongst you, there is a canal at Paule, 8km drive away. Only five minutes away is a beautiful lake at Maël-Carhaix, and also the Landes du Locarn. In the heart of Central Brittany, the natural site of the moors of Locarn and Gorges du Corong offers beautiful scenery. From ridges to valleys, landscapes alternate between moors, peat bogs and rocky chaos and offer an unforgettable discovery conducive to imagination and contemplation. If you fancy something more active, then 37km away is the beautiful Lake Guerlédan, Brittany's largest lake. Not only is this the perfect place for sunning yourself or messing about on the water but the area also offers extensive trails for walking and cycling. The Quénécan forest and Abbaye de Bon Repos are not to be missed. There is also a Sunday Market held by the Abbaye where you can enjoy lots of local produce and then people watch whilst drinking a coffee or beer in one of the restaurants. For those wishing to visit the coastline, there are many attractive villages and beaches about an hour away. The pretty town of Binic, is one of those, with a Marina, beaches and restaurants. For the younger members, the Zoo de Pont Scorff is about an hour away. Or you could visit Oceanopolis in Brest, 1hr 15 mins away, but well worth a day visit for the whole family. Kingoland Amusement Park also, is great for little ones and just over an hour away. The nearest Ferry Port is Roscoff, 93km away, approx 1hr 19 mins by car. Nearest Airport is Brest, 104km away, approx 1hr 23 mins by car.

Ideally located in the center of Brittany all the main sights are reachable within maximum 1 hour and half drive, most important sights such as the Pink Granite coast and Crozon Peninsula are reachable within 1 hour. The closer surroundings still has a lot to offer, Lac de Guerledan and Monts D'Arree within 30 minutes.
