The house
Notre Maisonneke is an attractive detached house on over 900m2 of land. From the front door you step into the large, cosy living room with French doors to the garden/terrace. The living room has a wood stove.
The kitchen is connected to the living room by an open passageway. It is equipped with a 4-ring gas cooker, a fridge, a microwave oven, a dishwasher, a coffee machine and a water boiler. In the scullery, there is a washing machine and a condensation dryer.
Adjacent to the living room is a comfortable bedroom with a double bed.
On the first floor: one bedroom with one double bed and one spacious bedroom with sleeping facilities for two children or adults and a cot with a chest of drawers.
The bathroom has a bath, shower cabin, washbasin and a second toilet.

Our house is located on the outskirts of the village of Saint Gelven. Within walking distance is a 300 ha large reservoir, Lac de Guerledan, with wooded banks. During winter and spring this lake can be seen from the house. In the vicinity of the lake you can imagine yourself at the foot of the Pyrenees by the hidden mountain gorges, valleys and fast-flowing streams.
Bordering the lake is the Forêt de Quénécan, a natural forest of 2300 ha.

The cuisine of the Côtes d'Armor reflects the richness and diversity of the region. The taste of the sea can be found in Saint Jacques shells, oysters and mussels.
Brittany is a paradise for lovers of these super-fresh products.
You can taste the land in the crêpes and galettes. You can also enjoy first-class vegetables such as cauliflower and artichoke.
Thirst is quenched with a cider, wine or a "blé noir", a beer brewed from rye.
Activities
Around the lake, there are sights such as the flower garden in Thabor, a 12th century monastery, Bon-Repos Abbey and a special gorge. The lake offers the opportunity to swim or sunbathe on the beach (Beau Rivage).
The Forêt de Quénécan is an ideal starting point for beautiful walks and mountain biking.
In the forest you can see lakes, old mines with a mining village (Forges des Salles), castles, menhirs and dolmens.
Our house is the ideal starting point to visit all sides of Brittany.

We hebben een heerlijke week gehad in jullie van alle gemakken voorziene huisjes.
De kachel brand snel en goed en met twee nachten vorst was dat geen overbodige luxe.
Veel van de omgeving gezien en gewandeld. Naar Carnac geweest maar wel wat ver weg aangezien in de buurt genoeg te zien is.

We hebben een heerlijke week gehad. Genoten van het goed uitgerust huis en de heerlijke tuin. We hebben veel gedaan in de directe omgeving. Het gebied bij Bon Repos en Les Forges des Salles is erg mooi.
