The house
Le Martinet is a cozy home-away-from home at Gites de La Richardiere and it is ideal for families, or up to four adults holidaying together. In recent years, all three Gites at La Richardiere have been fully and tastefully renovated.
The lounge overlooks the courtyard and is comfortably furnished with sofas, a TV (with English and French channels) and Free Wi-Fi.
The kitchen/diner leads off the lounge and seats up to six people. Kitchen equipment includes a gas cooker, fridge, dishwasher and microwave.
The ground floor twin bedroom with en-suite shower room is also accessed from the lounge.
The wooden staircase in the lounge leads straight up into the second bedroom, which features a comfortable king size bed, and an en-suite shower room.
Both bedrooms look out onto the pretty courtyard, and the lawns beyond. Outside, to the rear, the charcoal barbecue on the gravel patio offers a cool place for a midday meal or dinner for up to 6 people.
There is a heated swimming pool available from May to September.
Washing machines and drying lines are available on site.

Een weekje naar het Franse platteland met de belofte van stilte en rust....en die kregen we!
Door het warme, gastvrije welkom van Dave en Patience voelden we ons meteen thuis. We vulden onze dagen met uitstapjes naar omliggende dorpjes en kastelen en met zalig nietsdoen, want hiervoor zijn er op La Richardière genoeg plekjes voorzien! De mooie ingerichte gîte was voorzien van alle comfort.

Bedankt om bij ons te blijven. We zijn blij dat u onze Gites comfortabel vond. We houden van het idee van "luieren" in een prachtige omgeving. Dat is tenslotte waar vakantie om draait!

Wij reserveerden een huisje voor 4 personen "Le Martinet",één van de 3 gites op hun domein. Alles was piekfijn in orde en er was voldoende materiaal aanwezig in de keuken. De ligging is uitstekend, heel rustig te midden van de velden maar toch voldoende dichtbij winkels en bezienswaardigheden gelegen . Patience en Dave zijn fantastische uitbaters. Je bent er erg welkom , Ze zijn erg vriendelijk zonder te veel aanwezig te zijn terwijl zij ook op het domein wonen. Kinderen kunnen er heel goed spelen er is veel ruimte en speelmateriaal voorzien, ook bij het zwembad dat omheind is. Een heel groot pluspunt zijn hun 2 honden Rollo en Flora. Je zou ze zo meteen meenemen als dat kon. Wij gaan zeer graag terug zo fijn was het er.Thank you Patience en Dave en Min

Absolutely amazing place. Great property and location, stunning heated swimming pool, gracious hosts, enough to do around in the area (if you are in the mood). Highly recommended!!!
Restaurants, food & wine
The village of Le Petit Pressigny hosts a Michelin Starred restaurant - La Promenade. There are many smaller, yet very acceptable, restaurants in the surrounding villages.
Activities
The Indre-et-Loire is situated to the south of the River Loire. From Gites de La Richardière many of the area's most interesting Chateaux are within an hour's drive.
We are surrounded by some extremely lovely villages. Our own, Le Petit Pressigny, has a boulangerie, café and a Michelin Star restaurant - "La Promenade".
There are several natural parcs and Zoos in the area. The Zoo Parc Beauval is by far biggest and the best with Giant Pandas in the Chinese section.
There are many roads which are relatively traffic free and make excellent cycleways where our guests can travel between villages and there is every possibility of seeing one or more of the wild birds which live in the area.
At the end of the day our grounds offer tranquillity, peace and beautiful countryside views and the heated swimming pool. A great place to relax.

A Safety/Security deposit is required, in cash, at the start of every stay and is refundable if there is no damage and the property is left in the same clean and tidy state it was in at the start of the rental.
Towels are NOT provided for the swimming pool. Guests are asked to bring their own pool towels.
