The house
This character property is ideal for a family of two, three or four or for two couples as there is both a shower room and a bathroom for the two bedrooms (one twin and one double). There are two separate toilets, one upstairs and one downstairs.
Downstairs there is a a fully fitted kitchen and a lounge-diner which leads via the downstairs cloakroom (toilet) to the back garden with the heated swimming pool and outdoor games area.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms, a shower room, a bathroom and a separate toilet.
Come with friends and family! There are a further two properties in the same grounds - "Les Glycines" (sleeps 6: 3 bedrooms and 3 bath/shower rooms) and "Les Rosiers" (sleeps up to 4 people).

Neighbourhood overview:
Being on the outskirts of the village (the centre is just a 10 minute stroll away and has a boulangerie, general store, butcher, café, hairdresser and post offie) it is beautifully quiet. Walk about 50 metres up the road and you are surrounded by vineyards. Drive or cycle a couple of miles and there's the beautiful River Loire. Small and medium-sized towns are fairly close by so you really have the best of both worlds here!
Getting around:
Having your own car is advisable here but we have had guests arrive by train, borrow the bikes and use the train network to go to Blois, Amboise, Tours and Paris.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The property is beautifully designed to facilitate relaxation, with bikes, hammocks, bbq’s, swimming pool….and even fabulous weather through October. Phil and Sandrine were superb and thoughtful hosts. The gites location in the Loire Valley made for a fabulous holiday.

We have had a lovely stay in the largest gite. We are a family of 6 including 2 children. The equipment of the gite was abolutely good, we haven’t missed a thing!
The garden and pool were great and with so many things for children to play with. Philippe and Sandrine are very nice owners and always helpful.
And the Loire area is beautiful!
Restaurants, food & wine
The property is located near vineyards and there are a number of good producers in the village and in nearby Mesland. There are a couple of excellent restaurants less than a 10 minute drive away too. There is a wide choice in nearby Amboise, Chaumont and Blois too.
Activities
On site there are bikes (kids and adults) you are welcome to borrow free of charge and there are swings and outdoor games by the swimming pool heated from mid May to mid September. There is a Petanque (Boules) ground on the property
There are cycle paths along the River Loire (3 kms) and you can hire kayaks and canoes on the Loire too!

Guest access:
Guests have full use of the house, its private garden with bar-b-que and the main garden with the pool and outdoor games.
Guest interaction:
Living in the same grounds we are happy to offer advice on how to make the best use of your stay in the area, should you require it. Phil is a conference interpreter and Sandrine works for an American company. We know the area well, we are French, speak English fluently and also some German and some Spanish.
