Chateau de la Motte

Chateau de la Motte is the very French second home of an English family. It is spacious and comfortable, warm and family friendly; a lovely place with a special feel. Also great in winter with central heating and big log fires.

On the ground floor is a large salon and three other sitting rooms, two with televisions, and a small library of about 800 books.. The kitchen, with a big log fireplace, is a pleasure in which to cook and great for pre-dinner gatherings. The four main bedrooms are big and comfortable with armchairs or sofas.  Chateau de la Motte  has character which comes with age, unspoiled by its modern comforts.

SITTING ROOMS: On the ground floor there is a large salon, where 15 people may congregate in comfort, two small sitting rooms, a library and a playroom where one can read, watch television (s) or make a noise without bothering anyone.

KITCHEN: The table in the kitchen expands to seat 10. The large kitchen has three parts: a cooking and dining area with a huge open fire over which food can be chargrilled; a washing up area where plates and glasses are stored, which has a double sink, two dishwashers, fridge and freezer: a butler’s pantry with a fridge for drinks and ice.

BEDROOMS: On the first floor are four large bedrooms, 3 with adjoining bathrooms. There are 3 other bedrooms and a room with shower, basin and wc. (see floor plan). On the second floor are two bedrooms, 1 double and 1 twin which share a bathroom. The stairs to this floor are quite steep.
