The house
A luxury 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom, 18th Century Domaine with a large pool, free fast wifi and French and English TV. You will feel at home in elegant and charming accommodation for 2-8 people enjoying complete peace and tranquility with no near neighbours. The elegant bedrooms are themed after local Cathar Castles. The bedrooms feature high quality facilities with private bath or shower rooms, large beds and fine linens. The two lounges in the residence, library and large dining room enjoy subtle French influences. Ample and safe parking is offered on site. A 4 burner gas BBQ is available on your private terrace.

The Domaine is in the Languedoc Roussillon, amongst stunning flower meadows in the foothills of the Pyrenees. On the 14 acres of private parkland encircling the property you will find clouds of butterflies and a huge variety of birds and flowers including 18 wild orchid species. There is easy access to the nearby charming and popular towns of Limoux and medieval Mirepoix. Three local airports offer easy access - Carcassonne, Toulouse and Perpignan (35 to 90 minutes). Randy and Justine are conveniently next door (with separate access) to help you plan your excursions and maintain the property. We will ensure your privacy but are delighted to answer your questions to help you have a perfect holiday.

Many high quality restaurants can be found in Mirepoix and Limoux. There are excellent markets most days in local towns and lots of local producers of things like cheese and meat. We can recommend the best local wine producers and arrange for visits and tastings.
Activities
At an altitude of 1300 feet with no near neighbours, you can expect to enjoy total tranquility at the Domaine. There is easy access to the nearby charming and popular towns of Limoux and medieval Mirepoix. We are enviably located for day trips to the ever popular fortified City of Carcassonne along with a wealth of well known attractions such as the Cathar Castles, superb local markets, prehistoric sites and caves and of course the Mediterranean coast. The Domaine is nestled in the heart of stunning Cathar Country and enjoys the spectacular weather of the South of France. For the more energetic, we can provide good local walk details along with golf, cycling, fishing, tennis, go-carting, horse riding, sailing, canoeing, rafting and skiing nearby in winter. There is a huge selection of over twenty restaurants nearby offering an extensive and delicious range of dining opportunities. We can also help plan visits to the many local vineyards.
