The house
The gîte of 50 m2 in a vintage style offers everything needed for a pleasant stay for 4 to 5 people.
The living room / kitchen has a sitting area with a 2-seater sofa end 2 armchairs and a dining table with 4 chairs. The corner kitchen has a refrigerator, dishwasher, a combi microwave and a 4-burner gas hob. You can use a washing machine. There is satellite TV (Canal Digitaal) with NL-, B-, F-, D- and GB-channels and wifi (you're staying in the countryside where internet speed is limited but getting better and better).
The two bedrooms each have two box spring beds of 80x200 cm. If necessary, a camp bed or baby cot can be placed for small children.The bathroom has a spacious walk-in shower, a toilet and a sink.
Outside you can enjoy two private terraces (one of which is covered) overlooking the surrounding hilly landscape, take a refreshing dip in the pool or play "boules" on a real jeu de boules court.

The hills with their forests, vineyards and lavender fields are a feast for the eyes. But there are also the Pont du Gard, the Gorges d'Ardeche, the waterfalls of Sautadet, les Concluses, the caves of Aven d'Orgnac and not to forget the Caverne in Vallon Pont d'Arc, a replica of the cave Chauvet with beautiful prehistoric murals. Even a day at the beach can be done in la Grande-Motte or le Grau-du-Roi.
In the area you will find many interesting places that are worth a visit. Avignon, Nimes, Montpellier and Orange are the larger towns, Montclus, Barjac, Uzes, Lussan, Goudargues, la Baume, Balazuc, Vogüe and Aigueze the smaller ones.

Wij hebben een TOP verblijf gehad. De accommodatie is op en top verzorgd, het zwembad is heerlijk en Jacqueline en Cees zijn warme, hartelijke mensen die je graag tips geven over de omgeving. Hierdoor hebben wij een heerlijke, ontspannen week gehad met uitstapjes die passend zijn voor de leeftijd van de kinderen. Bedankt voor de gastvrijheid!

Super vriendelijke mensen en veel privacy! De gite is gezellig ingericht en goed verzorgd. Het zwembad was heerlijk en perfect voor bommetjes 😁. Ook de keramiek studio en alle werken die we tijdens onze vakantie ontdekten waren een onverwachte aanvulling! We hebben samen met onze kinderen genoten van de omgeving en het verblijf bij Cees en Jacqueline!!

Dank jullie wel, jullie waren hele fijne gasten. Iedere dag actief van vroeg tot laat en toch heel relaxed. Jullie lieten zien dat je het ook heel leuk en fijn kunt hebben zonder smartphone en tablet, of misschien wel juist daardoor! Een verademing! En het record bommetjes maken zal inderdaad niet gauw meer worden overtroffen. Nogmaals dank voor jullie komst en wie weet tot ziens!

Wat hebben wij twee heerlijke weken gehad bij Jacqueline en Cees. Gastvrij, vanaf het welkom met een karafje wijn en een biertje die al koel klaar stonden, tot aan de laatste dag waarop het gelukkig regende. Anders was het nog moeilijker geweest om in te pakken en het vertrek onder ogen te zien.
Een tof ingericht huisje, sfeervol terras, leuke “zitjes”, een lekker zwembad en een atelier om uren in door te brengen met creatieve inspiratie. Die heb kreeg ik zeker, het was een gave ontdekking; keramiek leren maken.
We hebben ongelooflijk genoten, de streek is geweldig mooi en er is veel te ontdekken. Hartelijk dank voor deze top vakantie. .Comment from Jacqueline en Cees Guikers
Wat fijn dat jullie zo enorm hebben genoten van de accommodatie en de omgeving . We hebben jullie in die twee weken meer en meer zien ontspannen. Daar is vakantie voor bedoeld toch? Terug naar huis met keramiek als nieuwe inspiratie en hobby, wie had dat gedacht? We zien jullie graag nog eens terug. Dan moet je ook zeker een bezoek brengen aan het dit jaar opengestelde kunstcomplex van Anselm Kiefer die dertig jaar in Barjac heeft gewoond en gewerkt. Activities
Ceramics is our passion. You can be creative in our studio. There are a penitentiary, turntable, easel and sewing machine. For a small fee you can use clay, paint or fabrics. You can also sign up for one of the ceramics workshops in which you make your own holiday memory under supervision and perhaps discover a new hobby.
No place so small or there is a weekly market, especially in the summer season. Barjac (5 km) has a large and busy weekly market on Friday morning. Uzes (40 Km) does a little extra on Saturday morning but the agricultural market on Wednesday morning is less busy and also very worthwhile. In Les Vans (30 km) it is the hippies from the Cevennes that provide the market with a special atmosphere on Saturday mornings. Pont St. Esprit (20 km) also holds its weekly market on Saturday morning with a striking North African signature. And then there are, of course, all sorts of flea markets and open-air greniers throughout the summer. The half-yearly antique and flea market in Barjac with Easter and Assumption is one of the largest in France with 400 exhibitors.
Do you like cycling? Au Coin des Cerisiers is a perfect base for your own Tour de France through the hills and the valley of the Cèze and the Ardèche. A ride through the Gorges de l'Ardèche is a real challenge with more than 1,500 altitude meters. And with the car you stand after 1.5 hours at the foot of the famous Mont Ventoux for a climb of 21 km! A refreshing splash in the swimming pool awaits you when you return from a beautiful ride.
Golf enthusiasts can also go here. In Grospierres (20 km) there is a 9-hole golf course and Montelimar (70 km) has a 9 and an 18-hole golf course.
France is known for its many hiking routes. Also in the area you can make beautiful trips and on the Cèze and Ardèche you can enjoy canoeing.

The gîte is available from May to September.
In July and August the rental period is from Saturday to Saturday. Rent per day is only possible last minute if the gîte is not booked for a week.
In the early and late season the rental period is flexible with a minimum of three days.
Arrival from 4 pm onwards, departure before 10 am.
The rental rates per week / day are:
May - June € 800/ € 120
July-August € 980 / € 140
September € 750 / € 110
The rent includes the use of linen, electricity and gas and exclusive of € 70 cleaning costs and a deposit of € 150.
If, due to the Corona virus, there are travel restrictions in and to France on the date of travel, you can cancel free of charge.
Pets are not allowed and smoking is not permitted within the walls of the gîte.
