The house
Jardin is a light and open plan gite decorated in a French / Scandic style.
The kitchen is fully equipped.
From the open plan living area you have access to a private rear garden. You also have access via french doors to your private front garden which over looks the communal garden. with play area and the enclosed heated pools. From here you can sit and relax while still keeping an eye on the children as they play in the walled garden. in the front garden you have table, chairs and your private BBQ.
The family bathroom is of a good size with large rain fall shower and a separate free standing bath.

La Garenne is located in the heart of the country side in the Charente maritime, Frances second sunniest region, surrounded by farm land, sunflower fields and forest. The country lanes are quiet so perfect for family walks and bike rides. If you wish to visit many tourist attractions like Cognac and their distilleries, La Rochelle and its world known aquarium, the famous and stunning beaches of the atlantic coast plus many more places of interest you don't need to drive further than 45 minutes.
For closer attractions you have many chateaux, rivers, lakes and smaller towns such as the roman town of saintes and St jean d'Angely.

Opposite the gite complex we have a family run vineyard where you can taste the wine and of cause if you wish purchase some of the local wine, Cognac and Pineau.
In the closest town of Aulnay Saintonge there are a few small local restaurants and bars.
Aulnay also offer a French open market twice a week where you can sample local produce as well as visit the cafes and enjoy proper French rural life style.
There are 3 bakeries for you to purchase your morning croissant and of cause pain au chocolat and a cake shop which is well worth a try.
Activities
At La Garenne family gites we have weekly activities for the children such as kids club and play days.
If you wish for your child to progress their swimming skills or simply learn the basics and become confidant in the water we offer swimming lessons from age 3+.
Swimming lessons are being taught by qualified instructors ( owners and family) on the premises.
