The holiday house with privat swimmingpoole is a separate part of our own house, realized in 2017/18, so everything new.
One enters through a private entrance. Dining room / kitchen with stunning views over the adjacent fields, kitchen including a fridge with freezer, dishwasher, kettle and oven.
Coffee, tea, sugar, salt etc. are available.
Following a bright living room with French doors with cozy wood stove, electric heating, sofa and armchairs and flat screen TV with satelite
View over the rolling garden and the village.
Separate bedroom with view over the garden, box spring (1.60-2.00) and then spacious hall with wardrobes and bathroom with shower, toilet and sink.
possibly to place a one person bed in the bedroom.
Miscellaneous: Free Wifi, stocked bookcase, board games, use of ironing board / iron and pool towels for the pool. And for lovers, in common space possibility for a game of table tennis or a game of darts.
The holiday accommodation is connected to our house, but completely private with private entrance, parking space, screened garden with various seating areas (sun or shade) including gazebo overgrown with wisteria and with a private swimming pool (wooden surface), completely surrounded by high hedge and nice chairs, so privacy guaranteed.
For optimal enjoyment, Table d'hotes (3-course menu with wine and coffee or tea), an extensive breakfast or a delicious oven dish with a healthy salad can be used on request. Also possible to obtain vegetarian meal.
Price table d'hote 23 euro p.p. Breakfast service 7.50 p.p Welcome menu 25 euro for 2 persons. Lunch with wine and coffee or thea 15 euro p.p.

New!! Opening spring 2018. For a holiday in the French countryside on a hill with beautiful views all around, a lovely diaper-vacation with occasional a splash in the pool, reading a book on one of the places in the garden or visiting villages in Galo-Roman style a walk between the wheat fields and forests, follow a cycle route in the area? Everything is possible. But especially enjoy !!
Holiday accommodation La Cigalle is located in Poursac in the Charente. Suitable for rent in all seasons, even with Christmas.
The Charente is known for its wonderful climate with lots of sunshine and is located in southwestern France.
La Cigalle is located on a hill just outside the village of Poursac. Poursac is a hamlet with a 12th century Romanesque church, situated in an agricultural area between rolling fields with grains, sunflowers, rapeseed or corn and alternating afforestation. In the vicinity is 3km away the beautiful castle village Verteuil with o.a bakery, restaurants, wine bar and village super.
At 7km you will find the beautiful village of Nanteuil, with restaurants, old abbey, and arboretum. All amenities can be found in the town of Ruffec at 10km, with, among others, 2 large supermarkets, Lidl and a weekly market on Saturday.

Met de feestdagen in Poursac, nou dat was zeker geen straf. Wat hebben we weer genoten. Ondanks het wat mindere weer toch elke dag erop uit om de omgeving af te zoeken naar vogeltjes en ander loslopende beesten zoals herten, vosjes, ezels, buizerds, valken en nog veel meer. Ook het diner bij jullie was echt weer super. Weer heerlijk gegeten. Gonnie, je kookt als de beste. Ook bakken is jou niet vreemd. Soms kwamen er de heerlijkste luchten bij ons binnen als je aan het bakken bent geslagen. Een schaal met lekkernijen op oudjaar, waaronder eigengemaakte kaas, overheerlijk, en oliebollen. Ook je eigengemaakte koekjes met de heerlijke wijn die bij aankomst op ons stond te wachten, waren niet te versmaden. Wat een verwennerij. Gonnie en Charles, jullie zijn echt kanjers en weten de gasten goed te verwennen. Was jammer dat we weer weg moesten. In juni komen we weer terug (voelt als thuiskomen). Geweldig bedankt en tot dan! We zijn welkom gegeten van 2 hele lieve vriendelijke mensen.
Alles is kraaknet en is heel gezellig gemaakt.
Ook af en toe een leuke verrassing van de verhuurders. (groentjes en fruit uit hun tuin.)
De ligging is heel mooi.

Wij hebben genoten van de gite la Cigalle. Alles is aanwezig voor een heerlijke vakantie. Fijn huisje, netjes en schoon. Charles en Gonnie zijn zeer gastvrij en onderhouden alles top. De omgeving is rustig, wat leuke kleine dorpjes in de buurt. Je kunt er geweldig leuk fietsen.

Activities
There are enough things to experience in the vicinity; many old Romanesque villages that are worth a visit, with many bric and brac markets during the season.
To enjoy the surroundings there are cycle routes and hiking trails so that one can enjoy the views with fields of sunflowers, wheat, rapeseed, etc. and forests.Also in the area a tree climbing trail, canoeing on the Charente, castles to visit and at 60km it village Oradour sur Glane, erroneously burnt by the Germans.Also worth a visit are the historic city of Angouleme at 30km, at 70km the famous city and region Cognac and at 80km Poitiers with the Futuroscope. And for the "daredevils" there is an opportunity to make a flight in a small helicopter (gyrocopter).
