The house
All on one level the farmhouse has a spacious open plan living area with exposed stone walls and satellite television.
French doors opening onto enclosed courtyard with garden furniture and BBQ perfect for those long summer evenings.
The country style wooden kitchen is fully equipped with washing machine, gas cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster and coffee maker
Large double bedroom with ensuite shower / wet room, second double bedroom and twin bedroom, cots can be added on request as can hich chairs, bed guards, booster seats and child monitors.

The rural location with several randonnee tracks on the doorstep is ideal for walks and VTT. Take a stroll through the walnut orchard down to the lake or borrow our mountain bikes (small, medium and large) + baby seat and children’s bicycles / tricycle to explore this wonderful location.
From the courtyard a child safety gates leads to the heated swimming pool and seperate childrens paddling pool with panoramic views over the Charente / Dordogne border.

We had a magnificent two weeks, with our two kids (1,5 and almost 4 yo). Plenty of room to play in the grass and on the little playground, in sight of our terrace. A bunch of little bikes to ride on, toys to play with in the sandpit.
The two pools were neat, with a nice roofed corner to sit back and watch the kids play in the water. Obviously, the area was guarded with gates to prevent the kids going to the pool by themselves.
Ian and Catherine were most kind and very helpful to get around in the area. The reception with a few cold drinks in the fridge was very thoughtful! They checked in ever so often to see if they could do anything, but left us in privacy mostly.
Thanks again, Catherine, for come saving us with starter cables when our car stalled during our grocery run! :)The area has some nice little towns and castles to visit. Perigeux an hour and a bit away was great. The bigger attractions (lascaux, grotte grand roc) are a bit further away (2 hours) so we opted to let those go and relax some more!

Photo conformes! Le gîte est totalement situé dans un endroit calme. Les équipements à partager sont géniaux, spécialement la piscine dont l'accès est sécurisé et avec une pataugoire pour les tout petits totalement appréciée et spacieuse. Les hôtes sont très accueillants et réactifs en cas de demande. Endroit idéal avec des enfants et même sans je pense. Le logement est spacieux et la terrasse magnifique. Cadre totalement dépaysant et reposant!

The child friendly and floriferous enclosed courtyard has a huge sandpit, swings, chute and climbing frame. For the sporting we have badminton, table tennis and petanque, alternatively pour yourself a glass of wine and relax in the hammock or loungers in the shade of mature trees.

Your hosts Catherine and Ian live at Limerac with their children and aim to make your stay as relaxing as possible.
