The house
The gite is suitable for a maximum of four people ( two adults plus two children).
It has a kitchen/living room, two bedrooms and a separate bathroom with bath/shower, wc and wash basin.
The first bedroom has two box spring beds (90x200cm), the second bedroom has two single beds of 90 by 200cm.
A children's cot and highchair can be placed upon request.
It is possible to use a washing machine against payment.

The gite has a quiet setting next to an authentic 18th century farm in the Corréze department.
Space, stillness, nature and relaxed French living.
There are many possibilities for walks, there are beautiful walking routes with us in Orgnac and also in Le Saillant, Voutezac, Vigeois (the local tourist office is happy to provide you with maps).
Canoeing is possible in Vézère, with starting points in Le Saillant (5km) and Uzerche (15Km).
There are several mountainbike trails but also 'simply' cycling is possible although there are quite a lot of hills.
Lac du causse is a beautifully located recreational lake south of Brive la Gaillarde and it is possible to walk around it which takes about an hour and a half.
Lots of sights such as beautiful lakes, picturesque villages and pretty old towns.
Collonges la rouge, Turenne, Uzerche, Donzenac are medieval towns in the immediate vicinity with their own (festive) activities in the summer.
Arnac-Pompadour (approx. 14 km) is famous for its beautiful castle and horse racing. In summer, there are races on the Hippodrome almost every weekend and you can try you luck with a bet.
The castles: Château Hautefort, Castelnaud chateau, Chateau de Val, Château Turenne, Les Tours de Merle are definitely worth a visit for castle lovers.
And then there are the waterfalls of `Gimel les cascades` east of Tulle. A beautiful walk / descent which takes you along three waterfalls.
Brive la Gaillarde (about 22 km) is the 'big' city in the area with a very large market every Saturday morning, but of course also shopping.
In Objat (approx. 12 km) there is a lively market every Sunday morning..
Limoges is about 70 km north of us and is famous for its porcelain but the cathedral with a beautiful park around it is also beautiful for visits.
At 10 min driving is the recreational lake 'Lac de Pontcharal' at the town of Vigeois.

We hebben een fijn verblijf gehad. Kees en Helen waren erg gastvrij en gaven goede tips om de omgeving te verkennen.
De gites was comfortabel en goed uitgerust, met zelfs een kaasschaaf! Fijn dat er klein zwembad was voor de verkoeling. We wisten alleen niet dat er op het terrein nog een gites te huur was waardoor je het zwembad deelt met de andere gasten.GARNIER Jacques from LYON 69005,
Nous garderons un très bon souvenir de notre gîte (site géographique intéressant , intérieur coquet, propre,) et SURTOUT de leurs propriétaires. Une belle rencontre. A refaire, si l'occasion se présente.

Dit was ons tweede bezoek dit jaar, in mei waren we er ook al. En dat het ons toen goed bevallen is blijkt uit dit tweede bezoek. De verzorging van de gite, de hartelijkheid en de gezelligheid zijn top!. De omgeving is natuurlijk prachtig, vol leuke uitstapjes mogelijkheden maar wat ons vooral getroffen heeft is de zorgzaamheid waarmee de gite ingericht is. En jullie persoonlijke aandacht, niet opdringerig maar daar waar het nodig was of gewoon gezellig was. Lucas en Samuel zijn hele leuke kinderen waar we gezellig mee gebadmintont, gezwommen en ge-mensergerjeniet hebben en de honden Boris (Borrieborrie) Joshua en Ieniemienie (sorry Jimmy!) hebben ons ook leuk gezelschap gehouden en natuurlijk yoghurtbakjes leeggelikt!
Activities
Fun and lively is the market in Le Saillant ( every Tuesday evening in July and August) and only 10 minutes from the gite.
You can buy local products here ( such as vegetables, cheese, dairy, meat and fish) which you can cook on the spot on one of the barbecues and then enjoy your meal with a bottle of wine and live music. A wonderful evening together with the locals!

Further remarks
We have a salt water pool which is cleaned by means of electrolysis, and it is opened from mid June to mid September.

Special offer: when you book our gite two weeks or more (excluding the months of July and August) you will get a discount of 5%.
If you would like to stay with more than four people ( up to a maximum of ten) you could also book our second gite 'Le Monteil 2'.
We charge 50 euros cleaning costs and a deposit of 100 euros.
