The house
Large living room with open kitchen and fireplace. Upstairs a spacious bedroom with a double bed (the second gite has two single beds that together form a double bed). Upstairs also a spacious bathroom with washbasin, toilet, bath and separate shower.
Heating by CV and open fire.
Swimming pool shared with owner, naturists also welcome at the pool. Washing machine shared with the owner.
Thanks to the fast fibre-optic network connection also very suitable for "home" working.
Bed linen and towels are included in the price, as well as final cleaning and heating.

The house is located in a very quiet area of 1 hectare amidst wooded hills and meadows with the famous Limousin cows and has a beautiful view of the Monedieres, a low mountain range (up to 950m). The area is hilly with many meandering streams and very suitable for walking, mountain biking and horse riding. Fishing and canoeing are also possible. The river Vezere is at 6 km distance and also at a few kilometres distance there are a number of fairly large lakes with small beaches.
Larger towns are Chamberet (7 km) and the medieval Treignac (9 km). You must go there for the groceries. Limoges and Brive are at resp. 70 and 60 km distance.

Voor de achtste keer kunnen genieten van de prachtige sterrenhemel van Arsouze, zoals we die hier in Nederland niet meer kennen. En natuurlijk van de onovertroffen gastvrijheid en behulpzaamheid van Jos en Ineke. Je kunt hier niet alleen sterren kijken, maar ook volop genieten van wandeltochten, rust en de natuur in deze prachtige omgeving.

Wat een heerlijkheid om hier terecht te komen. Complete rust, prachtige ligging, mooi ingerichte Gite, hele lieve gastheer en gastvrouw, super lekker vers gebakken brood, gezellig roodborstje en eekhoorn, heerlijke rosé. Kortom verslavend leuk, dus AANRADER!!!!

Een heerlijke week bij Jos en Ineke gehad. Wat een weids uitzicht vanaf het terras bij het zwembad! De gite was ruim en van alle gemakken voorzien. Mooie uitstapjes gemaakt naar o.a. Uzerche en Rocamadour. Wat op ons heel veel indruk heeft gemaakt is het plaatsje Oradour-sur-Glane. Het zuurdesem brood van Jos was voortreffelijk! En de koude rose bij aankomst ook met smaak opgedronken. Kortom, voor een ieder die op zoek is naar rust en natuur, een echte aanrader!

Restaurants, food & wine
Correze is especially known for its cows and calves, so it is good steak eating, for those who like it. You can also get foi gras and confit de canard everywhere. At 2 km distance, there is a duck farm, where duck breast, duck legs and foi gras can be bought fresh. Furthermore, many mushrooms (cep) and blueberries are found here.
The Correze is not a wine region, but the surroundings of Cahors and Bergerac are not far away.
There are a few nice restaurants in the area and in Limoges and Brive you can eat very well.
In the summer we have vegetables from our own vegetable garden.
Activities
The area is very quiet and sparsely populated and is ideal for walking, cycling, horse riding, canoeing and fishing. Bird lovers will also get their money's worth here. Every year, the national canoe championships are held in Treignac. At a distance of about an hour's drive you can gelanglauft in winter. For alpine skiing you have to go a bit further, but it is still doable within a day.
In summer, relax at the swimming pool with a magnificent view of the Monedieres, after having explored peasant hamlets and medieval churches. In winter, enjoy the beautiful landscape in the snow. Every season has something to offer here.

Further remarks
In total there are two gites. Both gites are very comfortable and tastefully furnished. They are especially suitable for people (couples or singles) who love peace, space, nature and walking. The gites are classified by Gites-de-France with 3 stars. The price includes: bed linen, towels, kitchen linen, heating and final cleaning. Not included is tourist tax. This can vary from year to year.

You can order excellent freshly baked sourdough bread in consultation> Order at least the evening before.
By arrangement, we provide an excellent and extensive table d'hote: 25 euros per person including apero and wines.
