The house

  • Quiet, built-up area with some traffic

La Maison à Côte at Le Relais des Roches is one of two pretty 2 bedroom homes with large pool. It’s very unusual to find holiday homes in the village centre with a pool, surrounded by trees and with a feeling of space. A short stroll to the shops, cafes and restaurants in the world famous village of Les Eyzies, 2 minutes walk from an excellent boulangerie and you will find a small supermarket just round the corner.
These homes are situated in the most popular part of the Dordogne within 20 km’s of 8 ‘Plus Beaux Villages de France’ and a short drive from the medieval town of Sarlat. They sit opposite dramatic limestone rock faces once home to Cromagnon man, and being just 400 metres from the famous Font de Gaume caves (a UNESCO heritage site), they are at the very heart of it all.
Both properties have been decorated to a high standard with wood and tiled floors, tastefully & comfortably furnished with all the necessary conveniences for modern living including dishwasher, washing machine & UK satellite TV, DVD player, Nespresso coffee machine etc.
We provide for you salt & pepper, olive oil, vinegar, foil, cling film, freezer bags, foil, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, bin bags, all cleaning materials etc.
The large 40ft x 20ft swimming pool & pretty grounds provide an ideal area for relaxation and to top up that tan.

Friendly but unobtrusive owners live nearby.

La Maison à Côté at Le Relais des Roches is located over two floors & sleeps up to 5 people. The spotless, modern & spacious well equipped kitchen & dining area is equipped with all modern conveniences, everything you could possibly need to prepare your meals, a real home from home.
The door from the kitchen opens on to your terrace with views to the limestone hillsides opposite for outside living. The walnut staircase leads from the kitchen to the spacious living area, which is tastefully & comfortably furnished, a wonderful room in which to kick back and relax. Plenty of seating, coffee tables, library of books, DVD player, UK satellite flat screen TV, making it a great family room.
The hallway takes you along to the 2 pretty bedrooms, one double and one twin (can be converted to a triple) both charmingly decorated.
The large modern bathroom has double sinks & a separate loo.
