Wij hebben een fijne week doorgebracht in een knusse gite.
De omgeving van de Vezere is prachtig en er is voldoende te ondernemen.

host were very welcoming kind and very helpful ensuring we got the most out of our stay. the property is well equipped and it's location was ideal. the area is absolutely beautiful with unspoiled villages, caves, walks right on our doorstep. the swimming pool was refreshing after a hot day exploring
Helen S from UK,
A cosy little gite with its own sun terrace with a barbecue and views of the well maintained swimming pool and of the Roque St Christophe. The gite is well equipped and the gifts of local wine and home made walnut cake were thoughtful and well received. Paul and Philippa are great hosts, always available to provide help and advice on destinations and best routes. Thank you for a lovely holiday.
Restaurants, food & wine
We have a restaurant in the local village of Le Moustier but there are plenty of other restaurants in St Leon sur Vezere, Montignac, Les Eyzies, Thonac and Tursac. You will be able to choose a different one for every day of your visit.
The nearest wine region is Bergerac, an hours drive, where you can visit vineyards and taste the local wines. These are, of course, available in the supermarkets closer to home.
Bordeaux and the Duras are also not too far away, where you will also find some great wines.
Activities
The area is great for walking, cycling, canoeing and horse riding.
The Vezere Valley is full of history and pre-history so there are plenty of caves and grotte to visit.
