The house
Conservatory lounge area with sofa and chair, this has stunning views of the lake on one side and the river on the other. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and vanity unit. The kitchen/diner is fully equipped and has a breakfast bar where you can watch river gently flowing past as you enjoy your breakfast. The bedroom has a double bed and storage, with views over the river and open countryside. Outside there is parking for your car, the essential BBQ and a table and chairs.

la wifi du logement ne fonctionnait qu'en journée, plus de connexion à 21h

Je suis désolé pour les problèmes techniques que vous avez rencontrés, je ne peux rien faire pour le signal du téléphone portable, il n'y a que SFR qui a un signal. En ce qui concerne le WiFi, je me suis excusé pour les problèmes de perte de connexion et je l'ai rétablie aussi vite que possible. Je ne savais pas qu'il n'y avait pas de connexion après 21 heures, mais maintenant que vous avez attiré mon attention sur ce point, je vais étudier le problème. En ce qui concerne la douche, je prends note de votre commentaire et j'examinerai la possibilité de fournir un rideau de douche.

Wonderful. I wanted a frills free quiet location. I could not have chosen better. The site is picture perfect, the Lake has loads of fish jumping around are ready to attack any old french baguette you happen to have. The river runs all around the property and the water is moving all of the time - no mosquitoes but running water sound to go to sleep with. The nights are cool and the days were hot. There are restaurants and Supermarkets in Bellac down the road. The Hosts could not be more accommodating (Taunya and Brian thanks for a lovely stay). I will be going back.

Aucun volet ni double-rideau dans la location (non plus dans la chambre) donc réveil obligé au lever du jour !
Nombreuses araignées et toiles d’araignées partout dans la location avec la poussière qui va avec !
Aucun placard pour les vêtements, juste quelques cintres accrochés à des porte-manteaux. Juste un placard pour l’aspirateur : extrêmement sale, tout comme l’aspirateur non vidé avec une brosse pleine de poussière. Merci d'avoir pris le temps de quitter votre revue, je suis attristé que le gîte n'ait pas été à votre goût. Je me suis excusé lorsque vous êtes arrivé du fait que l'extension de la terrasse n'était pas terminée, cela a été très difficile avec tout le temps que nous avons perdu pendant le confinement et puis le temps en juin a été très mauvais, pas bon pour finir la terrasse, je peux confirmer qu'elle est terminée maintenant. Je suis désolé, mais les araignées dans la campagne sont une réalité, le gîte a été nettoyé à fond, conformément aux nouvelles recommandations de Covid, mais les araignées peuvent revenir en un rien de temps après le nettoyage. J'ai pris note de votre commentaire sur les rideaux dans la chambre et j'en achèterai de nouveaux qui bloqueront plus de lumière, c'est un très bon point, merci, tout comme votre commentaire sur l'armoire avec l'aspirateur, etc, je veillerai à ce qu'on s'en occupe. Comme je l'ai dit, je suis vraiment mécontente que vous n'ayez pas passé un bon séjour chez nous.
Activities
We are in the 87, Haute Vienne area of the Limousin. The area is famous for it's forests and beautiful countryside and, of course it's lakes of which we have one. Whilst staying with us you are welcome to fish the lake (fish must be put back) and to use the boat or kayak. There are two famous lakes in the area, about 20 minutes away is Lac St. Pardoux which is a popular holiday destination with all the usual water sports available and a superb swimming pool complex. Further afield, on the Haute Vienne/Creuse border, is the immense 1000 hectare Lac de Vassiviere, again worth a trip for water sport and nature enthusiasts and also the dining cruises. About 5 minutes from our gites is the river Gartempe, a favourite with locals and visitors alike for fishing and canoeing, you will enjoy walking along it's banks, also our own river Couze, to see the wonderful wildlife, there are wild boar and deer, the trees abound with birds both large and small.
