The house
La Josselyn, is our largest 2x bed cottage. It has a wonderful homely feel, with good well equipped kitchen with a range cooker, painted stand alone kitchen units, dishwasher, washing machine and a large farmhouse table, a great place for a family to eat and spend time together.
The lounge has deep comfy sofas, a double sided (2nd side into the kitchen) woodburning stove, a Sat Tv,m Dvd player and Wi Fi.
Travelling upstairs to a large airy hallway into large master bedroom, with King size comfortable bed, agood size bathroom, with a slipper bath a separate shower cubicle, toilet and wash basin.
La Amelia is also a 2x bed cottage, which has been decorated in a New England Style. You enter the front door into a large airy lounge / dining room,with comfortable sofa`s, a stunning cream wood burning stove, Sat Tv, Dvd player and WiFi then step up into the well equipped airy kitchen, with a washing machine, dishwasher and lots of stand alone painted kitchen units , offering plenty of storage.
The kitchen has two skylights and a double window, so is flooded with natural light.
Travelling upstairs to a double bedroom, with comfortable french bed, lots of storage with an ensuite(Jack and Jill) with good sized shower unit, wash basin and toilet. The 2nd bedroom has twin beds and also a door into the shower room.
La Grace is a 1x bedroom cottage, it offers a cosy, relaxed, romantic feel. You enter from the front door into a good sized kitchen / lounge,with beautiful painted stand alone kitchen units, cooker, washing machine, Belfast sink unit and tiled floor.
The lounge area has a chesterfield sofa, with 2 high backed comfortable armchairs in front of a lovely inglenook style fireplace with a wood burning stove.
Travelling upstairs, you enter a stunning bedroom with mezzanine, a 4 poster bed, exposed A framed beams, 3 windows, so the room is flooded with natural light, with an ensuit showeroom with good sized shower unit, hand basin and toilet.

The cottages are set in approximately 1 and half acres of their own grounds, with the front gardens landscaped and a lazy meandering path leading to the road, which is a stones throw from Lake Mondon .
Our back garden has been transformed by a 10m x 5m in ground swimming pool (4ft deep) and sunbathing terrace, there are shingled outside areas for each cottage where hours can be spent relaxing and rejuvenating or reading a book, with a glass of wine under the shade of huge parasols.
There are local shops and supermarkets with a 5 miles radius, or for the larger supermarket there is La Souterraine or St Benoit.
Our cottages are approximately a 10 minute drive from Junction 22 of the A20.

There are two restaurants / bars overlooking Lake Mondon, both within a few minutes walk of our cottages.
Activities
For the slightly more adventurous, just a 2 minute walk away, opposite the lake is a communal swimming pool with waterslides. On the lake there are pedaloes for hire and in the peak season there are often donut boat rides. This site also offers tennis courts, basketball and volleyball courts and boules. (all these amenities for a nominal fee)
There are also many stunning wooded walks along the banks of the river La Benaize, with waterfalls and prehistoric rocks (dolman), where you will find an abundance of wildlife.
For the fishing enthusiast a `carte de peche` can be purchased for a half / full day or weekly ticket.
