The house
Beautifully located, and with the fully fenced 3500m² garden, we offer you a wonderful place for a relaxing holiday with your dog and/or children!
Le-Papillon' is situated in the heart of nature park Perigord-Limousin on the border of the Dordogne and Haute-Vienne and is equipped with all conveniences (a.o. free internet via Wi-Fi) to offer you a pleasant stay.
Through the front door, the central corridor gives access to the living room with open kitchen, from where you can walk on to the sunny terrace of 40m² through the French doors. In the living room there is a nice couch, a fireplace (with plenty of free wood) and satellite TV (NL).
On the ground floor there are 2 of the 3 bedrooms each equipped with a wardrobe and a double bed. Furthermore, there is a toilet, a bathroom with a wonderful rain shower and a utility room with a washing machine.
Via the staircase you have access to the very cosy 3rd bedroom with adjoining bathroom and separate toilet.
Down in the basement there is a utility room, a storage room for wood and the garage.
In short, a spacious and complete house where you will lack nothing!

In the heart of Natural Park Perigord/Limousin on the border of the Dordogne and Haute-Vienne, you will find the dog- and childfriendly holiday home 'Le-Papillon', quiet but not isolated, on the edge of the woods. From the large fenced garden you can walk straight into nature where your dog is allowed to run free. Nearby are several nice places and sights. In Chalus (5min) or Cussac (10min) you can do your shopping.
Nice cities to visit are for example; Limoges, Perigueux, Saint Jean de Côle, Brantôme.
There are several nice markets and brocantes to visit in the neighbourhood.

Further remarks
Le-Papillon is also a very comfortable house in autumn and winter. With the cosy wood-burning stove (sufficient wood for free), the central heating and the good insulation, it is a great place to stay in autumn (with beautifully coloured woods) and also in winter! And there will be no fireworks during New Year's Eve!

Wat waren wij verrast!. Le Papillon is de perfecte plek om een vakantie met je honden door te brengen en tegelijk te genieten van een verblijf in een werkelijk prachtig vakantiehuis, voorzien van alle gemakken. Het huis is recentelijk grondig gerenoveerd en aangepast aan de moderne tijd, echter zonder de voor deze streek zo kenmerkende landelijke sfeer te verliezen. De inrichting is smaakvol en de badkamers en toiletten zijn ronduit luxe - en dat terwijl honden in het huis méér dan welkom zijn. De houtkachel (maar er is ook centrale verwarming) gaf op die ene wat koudere avond net nóg weer wat extra.
Dat er twee slaapkamers op de begane grond zijn is voor ons ook een grote plus, omdat we er nu niet op hoefden te letten dat één van onze honden 's nachts de trap op probeerde te komen. En dan is er nog een derde grote slaapkamer met eigen toilet en badkamer (ook alweer zo prachtig afgewerkt!) op de eerste verdieping.
Onze honden (we hebben er drie...) hebben genoten van de gigantische - afgezette! - tuin waar ze naar hartenlust konden ravotten, terwijl wij op het wat hoger gelegen terras van het uitzicht en de rust konden genieten. Letterlijk om de hoek lopen verschillende paden het bos in - en dat garandeert in deze streek de mogelijkheid van uren wandelplezier, waarbij altijd wel een vos, wat reeën of ander wild te spotten valt. Daarbij is de streek waterrijk, dus een stroompje of een meertje waar de honden kunnen drinken of zelfs even zwemmen is nooit ver weg.
We komen al jaren in Frankrijk, en steeds met onze honden, en we kennen deze streek al best goed. Zó een mooi en fijn logeeradres hadden we echter nog niet eerder. Wij komen zeker terug!

Geweldige plek voor een super vakantie met je hond. Mooie wandelingen, de hond vermaakt zich dus jij ook!!! Een plek om terug te komen! Zeker de gezelligheid die je op de camping vind is ook leuk om te bezoeken!

Wat een mooi huis is dit! De eigenaren hebben er hun best op gedaan het te renoveren tot een huis waar je zelf in zou willen wonen. En de hondjes kunnen ( veilig) in de omheinde tuin rennen en spelen. Prachtige omgeving, waar je naar hartelust kunt wandelen, ook zo vanuit het huis. Echt een aanrader!
