The house
Bonne Nuit is a delightful first floor gîte accessed by an external flight of stairs. The accommodation comprises a vaulted open plan kitchen/dining/living area of 6.5m x 4m, with windows and a Juliet balcony, overlooking the orchard and fields into the distance. There is an oak dining table and chairs in the kitchen area and a sofa, coffee table, and wall mounted TV in the lounge area. The lovely exposed wooden beams are a feature throughout Bonne Nuit.
The cosy bedroom, 4m x 2.9 has a vaulted ceiling, and is furnished with a double wardrobe with drawers, bedside tables and a queen sized bed which is positioned to make the most of that early morning coffee in bed watching the wildlife wake up out through the Juliet balcony doors. If you are lucky you may see the numerous cranes that feed in the field outside your windows at certain time of the year.
The generous bathroom has a large bath with overhead shower, toilet and washbasin, mirror and heated towel rail. Complimentary towelling slippers and some essential vanity accessories are provided for your added comfort.
This gîte does not have direct access to a patio but there is a pool terrace with table and chairs which overlooks the orchard and is just a little walk from the external stairs to your front door. Bonne Nuit benefits from central heating making it a cosy hideaway throughout the year.
There are three independent gites on our property and these can be hired together to cater for groups of up to 8/9 people with exclusive use of all the facilities.

What a wonderful place and hosts!! Everything was just great. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome. The place is quiet and great for a stay to refuel and relax. All facilities are of high quality. You can tell the hosts have an eye for details and understand why you are there. They will go out of their way to make your stay one you will never forget.
We recommend this highly!!

Our guests have use of the swimming pool, sun loungers and parasols at their leisure and the partially covered pool terrace also has a BBQ, al-fresco eating area, chimeneas and comfortable seating for those summer evenings and cooler autumn nights.
Watch the wide array of wildlife, be it the deer who graze in our fields or the numerous varieties of birds of prey living and hunting here, from Hen Harriers to Rough-Legged Buzzards and many more, Les Palennes is a wildlife/photographer’s dream.
The night sky is fabulous, lie down on the grass or the sun loungers and gaze at the millions of stars and very often you will see shooting stars.
If you are feeling a little energetic, play boules refereed by our Donkeys, Bill and Ben – who are always open to bribery with carrot treats!
