The house
Rozel is a disabled ‘friendly,’ one bedroom, spacious ground floor gîte with its own private patio and garden area. The doors are sufficiently wide (none less than 30 inches) to allow access to mobility scooters or wheelchairs.
The generous accommodation consists of a large open plan hall/kitchen, 4m x 3m into a diner/living room, 3,5m x 6m, Large patio doors lead directly onto the patio with fantastic view to the west over fields and woodland, the sunsets here are truly amazing. The light and airy living room is tastefully furnished and makes Rozel a wonderful retreat.
The bedroom has a queen-sized bed, double wardrobe with drawers and bedside tables, and overlooks the orchard. The wet room type bathroom has a large walk in shower, WC and vanity unit with mirror. Complimentary towelling slippers and some essential vanity accessories are provided for your added comfort.
Rozel benefits from underfloor heating throughout so while the gîte remains cool in the summer thanks to the thick stone walls it will always be warm in the autumn/winter months.
There are three independent gites on our property and these can be hired together to cater for groups of up to 8/9 people with exclusive use of all the facilities. please note that due to the age of the building there may be some noise from creaking floorboards from the gite above.

Our guests have use of the swimming pool, sun loungers and parasols at their leisure and the partially covered pool terrace also has a BBQ, al-fresco eating area, chimeneas and comfortable seating for those summer evenings and cooler autumn nights.
Watch the wide array of wildlife, be it the deer who graze in our fields or the numerous varieties of birds of prey living and hunting here, from Hen Harriers to Rough-Legged Buzzards and many more, Les Palennes is a wildlife/photographer’s dream.
The night sky is fabulous, lie down on the grass or the sun loungers and gaze at the millions of stars and very often you will see shooting stars.
If you are feeling a little energetic, play boules refereed by our Donkeys, Bill and Ben – who are always open to bribery with carrot treats!

There is no cleaning charge, but a charge of E50.00 will be deducted if the owners determine the guests have smoked in the gite, despite the no smoking policy.
