The house
This charming and elegant villa is situated in the beautiful country side of les Landes, with private garden at 100m from lake Parentis-en-brone and at 10 km from the ocean. The house is located at the end of a dead-end-street, at a 100 metres from the centre of Gastes.
You can enjoy the garden, relax in the lounge seats or enjoy a good meal. The villa has two floors: on the ground floor is the cosy living room, a kitchen, three double bedrooms (one with bunkbed), a bathroom and WC. The first floor has two double bedrooms, a bathroom and a WC. On the landing is another bed which can be used as a double, so you can stay here with 11 or even 12 people. Children's bed and chair, sheets and towels are provided. The house has free WLAN connection and Orange FR TV. If you bring your own motor boat, up to 6.5m. you can use our berth in the harbour at 200m from the house. Sail boats can stay on the beach and there is a trolley for surfboards.

As the ultimate surfing paradise and holiday destination, les Landes combines the pleasure of the beach and the ocean with the natural appeal of forest and lakes. Les Landes is a well known area for spa destinations with its five spas: Dax, Saint-Paul-lès-Dax, Eugénie-les-Bains, Préchacq-les-Bains and Saubusse-les-Bains.
But the department has much more to offer! Let's start with 106 kilometres of sandy beach stretching along the Atlantic coast, from Biscarrosse to the Adour. Here are well-known seaside resorts such as Capbreton, Hossegor and Vieux-Boucau Port d'Albret, which offer a wide range of sports and recreation.
Then there is the vast pine forest, and the many lakes which are great for relaxing, or for the pursuit of outdoor activities. You will not be bored during your holiday in the Aquitaine region!
Nowadays, La Forêt des Landes is a beautiful large protected natural area. Many beautiful hiking trails are available in this large forest. Due to the large amount of trees you can enjoy walking on sunny days, as there are plenty of shady spots. This unique area is an absolute must for both fanatic and less fanatical hikers. And it is a great area for cycling too.

Activities
Beach, sun and sea are obviously applicable here. On the lake you can practise all water sports: Kite Surfing, Wind Surfing, Sailing, Waterskiing, Jetboarding, Stand Up Paddle and Swimming. Mimizan (20 km) is the European Wave and Body Surfspot. At about 5 minutes cycling there is a beautiful stable for horse lovers. The house has a tandem-bike and two women's bikes but also surfboards, scooters, long and wave boards and of course petanque balls.
