The house
This stone house is a "maison en Pierre", built in 2005 and decorated in the French style.
It is situated in a valley and guarantees a maximum of privacy.
We rent out our holiday home with a private swimming pool with cover, of which you have exclusive use.
The water is treated and kept clean with active oxygen; this has the great advantage that it is non-irritating and odourless and therefore better suited for children.
Our Gite is fully equipped, so you don't have to worry if you forgot something.
The Gite has a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious living room, 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Airco, TV with national channels and WiFi are also available in the house.
Because of the quietness, this house will not be rented to groups of youngsters.

Wij spendeerden een heerlijk weekje vakantie met ons voltallig gezin in "la Maison Mathieu bas". De vriendelijke, hulpvaardige eigenaars wonen, in alle discretie, ook op het domein en zijn zeer bereikbaar. We hadden heerlijk weer en konden genieten van het "open" zwembad. Het huis is van alle comfort voorzien, ruimtelijk, netjes en fris. Een mooie uitvalsbasis voor wie rust wil combineren met een aantal uitstapjes in de streek en zeker de niet te versmaden "Marché Gourmand" in het dorp. Hartelijk dank voor de gastvrijheid.

Dit vakantiehuis is een echte aanrader. Alles, tot in het kleinste detail is aanwezig. Tevens een zeer propere woning, prachtig zwembad dat, door de overkapping, zelfs bij koudere temperaturen (of regenweer) kan gebruikt worden enz.
Tip, misschien nog bekijken om een internetaansluiting/wifi te voorzien, zeker ook omdat de mobiele data verbinding ook niet continu beschikbaar is.
Desalniettemin wordt dit ruimschoots gecompenseerd door het enthousiasme en de vriendelijkheid van de eigenaars/buren (Anne-Marie en Antoine). Zij brengen echt het 'vakantiegevoel' in huis.
Kortom een dikke aanrader is dit vakantiehuis, vandaar een meer dan verdiende '9'-score.

Restaurants, food & wine
In the area are many small restaurants where you can eat very well at very low prices.
Wine regions of the Appellation Cahors within 10 minutes.
A little further afield are the wine regions of Bergerac and Pecharmant.
Activities
If you love nature and culture, you are spoilt for choice.
The beautiful villages of Lauzerte, Penne d'Agenais and Roquecor with their weekly farmer's markets and the marché gourmand are less than 30 minutes away. Only 30 km away are larger cities such as Agen, Cahors and Villeneuve, where you will find great restaurants, cafes and shops. This region is not yet known by the masses and therefore offers peace, freedom and space. This is the real French countryside, where the locals are very friendly and helpful.
This summer in the last week of the Tour de France, the peloton will cross our region, with the arrival in Cahors on Friday 22 August and the time trial in Rocamadour the day after.

Agen is the capital of our department, known for the best prunes, "Pruneaux d'Agen" and the juicy beef tomatoes from Marmande.
This is the home region of singer Francis Cabrel, who sings of his love for the countryside.
