The house
Villa Lafage is located in the middle of the rolling French countryside on the border of the Dordogne and Lot et Garonne départements. The ideal base for making fun trips with the family. Here you will enjoy peace and quiet, with attention to yourself and the children. Relax, discover the surroundings and get inspired.
Villa Lafage is nice and small-scale. It consists of a hip pigeon tower (max 5 people) with heated private pool. And a large country house (max 10 people) with super deluxe pool. Beautifully situated on 5 hectares of land at the end of a cul-de-sac. With beautiful views over fields, forest and orchard. There is plenty to do for young and old. The ideal holiday for couples, families or friends.

Villa Lafage is surrounded by "bastides", these medieval fortified villages are among the most beautiful in France. Stroll through the narrow streets of Villeréal, Monflanquin or Monpazier. And enjoy a cool glass of wine on one of the cosy terraces.
At the local markets you can enjoy the intense aromas and colours. Fresh garlic, countless types of cheese and organically grown vegetables. Here you can buy the finest fresh local products. For other shopping you can go to the Intermarché supermarket in Villeréal or Castillonnès (5 km). There are also petrol stations here.
Historic Bergerac, Sarlat and Villeneuve-sur-Lot are the main towns in the area. Here you can browse around at the 'brocante' and see the beautiful historic buildings. There are beautiful shops and interesting sights.

Restaurants, food & wine
About half an hour's drive from Lafage, in the direction of the Dordogne, you can visit many castles and wine estates. Here you can taste and buy wines. From the Bergerac Sec to the very sweet Monbazillac. Our favourite wine comes from Le Verdots, an absolute must!
In Bournel, less than 5 minutes away, is a nice pizzeria. Enjoy your meal on the terrace while the children play on the playground or the bouncy castle.
The numerous gastronomic restaurants in the area are pure indulgence for your taste buds. The paradise of truffles, cèpes, foie gras and duck confit. We have already tasted the most delicious locations for you!
Activities
Visit castles
Chateau Bridoire is a fantastic castle to visit with children, there are medieval games to do (highly recommended!) Château Bonaguil has nice souvenir shops on the route. And at Château Biron the children can make their own shield.
Walking and cycling
There are well prepared walking and cycling tours in the area. Varying from a few kilometres to a day-filling activity. A nice walk starts from Villa Lafage, also good to do for children. Discover the immediate surroundings of Bournel via the old Roman road, along exciting forest paths and through the fields.
On the water
On the Dordogne River, canoe trips are possible from 7 to 22 km. You will pass ancient castles and medieval villages. On the way, you can enjoy the beautiful nature. Or rent a boat at Tremolat and go wake-boarding or water skiing. Also fun for children, even from 4 years of age.
History
An hour's drive from Lafage you can visit various prehistoric sites. Very interesting and educational, not only for the children! Like the caves of Lascaux where the world famous wall paintings have been found.
Golf
In the vicinity are several beautiful golf courses such as Golf de Vigier at 45 km, Tombeboeuf at 30 km, and Castelnaud at 25 km, suitable for both beginners and professionals.
Aquarium
The largest freshwater aquarium in Europe is in Le Bugue. Lots of fish and a miniature golf course. Also fun when the weather is less!
Horse riding
In the neighbourhood, you can go horseback riding or take the children on a fun donkey ride. A very nice way to discover the surroundings. Bring a picnic for the ride!
Parc en Ciel
Adventure between the tops of the trees at Parc en Ciel. A day of climbing and clambering for all levels. There is also a swimming lake, mini golf and a snack bar.

The price of accommodation is per week. Includes made beds, towels, service charges (gas, water and electricity) and booking fee. Pets are welcome in consultation, we charge € 50 per stay. Compulsory final cleaning € 100 to be paid locally. Tourist tax € 1.05 per person per night (from 18 years of age). Cots and high chairs are available free of charge. Departure and arrival on Saturday.
