The house
Orchard View Gite - This is a fully self-contained 1 bedroom holiday cottage with one double bedroom complete with access to free WiFi throughout.
There is a well proportioned Kitchen / Diner as well as a comfortable lounge.
The well equipped kitchen has all the items that you may need to prepare your meals and ensure a relaxing holiday and a pine dining table with ample room to seat 4 people in comfort.
The lounge has ample comfortable seating on 2 settees, an LCD TV with DVD and satellite for free view UK and French channels, and also a wood burning stove for those winter evenings.
The airy and light master bedroom with double bed and relaxing decor, with beautiful views over the rolling Vienne countryside, also has plenty of storage within a large wardrobe and also in the dressing table with mirror over.
There is a perfectly sized shower room, with a large fitted shower cubicle which delivers piping hot water at mains pressure, a vanity sink unit complete with illuminated mirror over, also a low level WC.
Outside there is an enclosed private garden with views over the orchard and on to the surrounding fields and mighty oaks that dot the landscape as well as a private patio area with table and seating for 4, a very pleasant place to sit with a glass of wine or have a barbecue and watch the sunset with views over the countryside.

This area is still largely undiscovered by the tourist hordes, so you can still find many aspects of the true rural France, with beautiful rolling verdant green countryside, with winding river valleys, and very pretty historic towns and villages.
Although we are in a rural location, we are very close to all the necessary amenities of modern life. Being just a couple of minute from our local village, which has a bakery, shop, bar, pharmacy, post office etc. and also only 10 to 15 minutes from large supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, banks etc.
We are situated on a no through road so have very little traffic and therefore we remain a peaceful haven in the rolling Vienne countryside. Yet we have easy access to many leisure activities in the local area - Walking, Fishing, Hiking, Cycling, Kayaking, Golf, Tennis etc.
Also onsite we have a well equipped games room with pool table, table football, table tennis, dart board plus many more indoor and outdoor games. Just outside of this games room is a large patio area with tables chair and loungers alongside the 10 meter by 5 meter solar heated swimming pool. Additionally to this there are uninterrupted views of the Fishing lake and surrounding countryside.

Wat een mooie, bijzondere plek in Frankrijk is Wisdom Gite!
Wij hebben 1 week mogen verblijven in Orchard View.
Richard & Carol jullie zijn een gastvrij en enthousiast stel dat alles doet om het de gasten naar het zin te maken. Terwijl Wisdom Gite al zo fantastisch is.
Wij hebben genoten van het zwembad, de uitgezette wandelroutes vanuit jullie terrein en het fantastische landgoed met vijvers, landerijen en vismeer. De vele diersoorten in het wild, het landschap en de natuurlijke omgeving maken het geheel tot een waar paradijs.
Over de gite Orchard View, deze is goed en er ontbreekt niets.
We hebben genoten en komen zeker nog eens langs!

je ne devrais pas le dire car tout le monde va vouloir venir et nous n'aurons peut être plus de place pour nous, mais nous avons rencontré des personnes charmantes, prévenantes et dont la principale et unique préoccupation est de satisfaire nos besoins et faire en sorte que nos vacances soient parfaites, ce qui a été le cas mile merci

For your convenience there is also access to a laundry room with a washing machine, we have a small farm shop with a some essentials available such as our home grown fruit and vegetables, and many other items.
As part of our complex of 3 self-contained holiday cottages, each has access to the Games Room, containing pool table, table tennis, dart board, table football, etc. Also there is an upstairs lounge area with 2 large settees, table and chairs with beautiful far reaching views over the lake. Then leading from the games room out through some French doors to a Large patio area with tables, chairs and sun loungers overlooking the 10 meter by 5 meter solar heated swimming pool, from this relaxing vantage point there are unrestricted views over meadows and the lake.
