The house
Moulin de Chantegrolle is a restored watermill dating back to the 1700's. The accommodation includes a large gite, which sleeps up to 8 people and an attached, self contained studio for up to 4 people making it suitable for 1 to 12 people. It offers both historic character with exposed beams and stone walls, alongside essential modern facilities including coffee machines and excellent wifi. Two kitchens are fully equipped and three bathrooms add to the comfort. We can also offer home cooked meals for groups of 4 - 20 people in our onsite cafe with prior booking.

We are located on the edge of the beatuful river Charente surrounded by walking and cycling trails and nature reserves. The historic village of Charroux with its famous abbey and selection of bars and restaurants is less than 1km away and easy to walk to. Our large 3 acre garden includes swimming pool, yoga studios, orchards, streams and lawns.

There are two excellent restaurants in Charroux, plus an onsite health food cafe and award winning local producteur of juices, meats, cheese and vegetables just oppostie the gite. There are also three bars in Charroux and locally brewed beers and local wines can be recommended. We can provide lunch and evening meals and tastings with advance notive for groups of 4 - 20 people.
