The house
Just outside Najac, one of the plus beaux villages de France, two luxurious holiday homes for two are perfect for a relaxing and pleasant vacation in the middle of nature. Both luxuriously furnished holiday homes have a private terrace with comfortable garden furniture. You can leave your car and walk directly from the house in our 11 hectare wood and the surroundings of Najac. We have furnished the romantic authentic holiday cottages with great care, providing “creature comforts” to allow you to enjoy a wonderful, carefree holiday. The charming living area includes a well equipped open plan kitchen. Everything you need to prepare a tasty meal can be found in this modern kitchen. There is also a spacious and attractive bedroom with a comfortable kingsize bed with luxurious 100% cotton bed linen and two types of high quality dunlopillo pillows. The bathroom has a sensual rain shower and a modern toilet.

Najac is located in South West France, in the Aveyron, Its unspoiled nature, diverse landscapes and bucolic villages are sure to enchant you. Its wide open spaces – limestone plateaus, gorges and valleys, mountains and lakes – are the perfect backdrop for outdoor activities and simple relaxation. From La Forêt Souriante you can also easily travel to three other beautiful departments: the Tarn, the Tarn-et-Garonne and the Lot, Visit villages like Belcastel, Saint Cirq Lapopie, Saint Antonin Noble Val or Cordes-sur-Ciel and stroll around lively markets and eat in good restaurants. Or go to interesting exhibitions in the museums in Albi, Montauban or Rodez.

Wat een fijne plek! De rust, het uitzicht, de charmante plaatsjes in de prachtige Aveyron, de inrichting en sfeer in de gîte en natuurlijk de prettige ontvangst en goeie tips van Tjarco en Anita. Er valt helemaal niks op aan te merken!
Je wordt hartelijk ontvangen, je voelt je welkom, komt tot rust en gaat gegarandeerd weer opgeladen terug naar huis. Niet lang over nadenken hoor, dit is een heel fijne vakantieplek!

Bij onze aankomst werden wij vriendelijk verwelkomd: een pastaatje stond klaar, evenals een flesje wijn!
Het huis is rustig gelegen en heel smaakvol en comfortabel ingericht; de eigenaars zijn héél vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Zo kregen we meteen voldoende informatie om onze week boeiend in te richten. Niet te vergeten: het terras heeft zicht op het kasteel van Najac in de verte en ’s ochtends kwam er zowaar een reetje in de achtertuin aan de blaadjes snibbelen.
Wij kunnen deze gite in de mooie (en verrassende) Aveyron ten zeerste aanbevelen.

Bij een verblijf in een van de gîtes kun je niets anders doen dan genieten. Alles is brandschoon en mega-compleet tot aan een kaasschaaf toe. Superlatieven schieten tekort om dit stukje paradijs op aarde te omschrijven. Over de omgeving kan ik kort zijn: die is adembenemend mooi. De eigenaren, Anita en Tjarco zijn hartelijk, sympathiek en heel behulpzaam. Niks is ze te veel, als jij het maar naar je zin hebt.
Ik kan nog heel lang doorgaan om iedereen te overtuigen, maar de beste overtuiging krijg je door gewoon te boeken. Voor de prijs hoef je het ook niet te laten. Ga en geniet!Comment from Anita van Overmeeren en Tjarco van Wijngaarden
We vonden het erg gezellig dat jullie onze eerste gasten van dit seizoen waren! Zo leuk dat jullie onze streek net zo mooi vinden als wij. Graag nog n keer tot ziens! Misschien dan in een ander seizoen: om te zwemmen in de rivier en te macrameeën in de tuin?

We are vegetarians and sometimes we found it hard to find good restaurants that serves fine tasting vegetarian dishes. That is why we love to have discovered some friendly restaurants within 15 to 30 minutes by car where you not only can eat a fantastic meat or fish dish but also can enjoy a balanced vegetarian dish. We are happy to help you make a reservation for one of our favorite or your (future) favorite restaurant.
In the surroundings of La Forêt Souriante, in the Tarn you can make a wine tour along the oldest vineyards of France. Discover the unique taste of the white and red wines made from grape varieties that has been produced in Gaillac for ages.
Activities
The area surrounding Najac is well known for its beautiful walks. There are walks for every level within half an hour by car from La Forêt Souriante. There are also plenty of varied cycling routes for mountain bikers and cyclists. Horse riding through the beautiful surroundings is possible at Ferme équestre de Daoudou, 4 kilometers from La Forêt Souriante. If you want to go for a swim, you have every choice for natural swimming in the rivers Aveyron and Viaur. As real garden lovers, we were pleasantly surprised to find some beautiful gardens to visit within a quarter of an hour by car (in the Aveyron, Tarn and Tarn-et-Garonne).Activities as horse riding and golf are situated within half an hour from your gîte.
