The house
It is a very spacious house ('maison d'amis, on the left of the white house) with more than 150 square meter surface and 2 floors. First floor: Kitchen, bathroom, 2 bedrooms Second floor: Kitchen, bathroom, large living room. The house is very well equiped. There is a terrace of 150 square meters. Big swimming pool of 5 x 20 meters with wooden terrace.

Very quiet and secluded on 20 hectares of own hilly land on the edge of a lake, which is used for fishing. Motorised boats are not permitted. Lots of walking trails and cycle routes in the vicinity.
In the area there are 6 golf courses (20-60 minutes drve). Many attractive towns and villages to visit, small as well as larger.
At 40 kms there are the Pyrenees Mountains. A village with the necessary amenities is on 5 kms.

Domaine la Barbe is situated between the Gers, the Haute Garonne and the Hautes Pyrenees. The area boasts a truly French ambiance with lots of local dishes and wonderful local wine (cote de Gascogne and also the suprisingly good Madiran). There is lots to discover!

At Domaine la Barbe you will find something for everyone. Relax at the pool side, enjoy an undisturbed and unusually relaxed lunch or supper. But for the more active there are lots of possibilities for fishing, walkin, cycling, biking, daytrips by car, villages, towns and lots more. At cycling distance there are the Pyrenees Mountains with lots of well-known 'cols' from the Tour de France. But for keen walkers and hikers there are lots of possibilities too.
Spain can be reached within 1 hour's drive.
In the winter skiing is possible in less than 1 hour's drive.

Further remarks
The gite is an independant house which is partly attached to the main building. There is a separate entrance and the gite has its own terrace.
