The house
Are you ready for a sporty but relaxing holiday? Then come to Figarol!
Our farm, situated at the foot of the Pyrenees between the villages Saint Gaudens and Saint Girons, is an excellent starting point for the many challenges that the Pyrenees have to offer.
The wonderful nature and the views of the many mountain peaks will leave an unforgettable impression on you.
With us, you will find the peace and quiet for a fantastic holiday and personal attention comes first.
Our gite is comfortably and pleasantly furnished and suitable for four persons.
There are magazines and books, for the children there are games and toys available.
With your laptop you can use wireless internet. If you want more than four sleeping places, you have the choice to rent our other gite or the guestrooms in the farmhouse as well.
You can make beautiful bike rides with us, long and short trips, through small quiet villages, without encountering any traffic. Of course there are plenty of opportunities to cycle several stages of the Tour de France.
From our farm all cols are easy to reach.

Our beautifully situated farmhouse was built in 1878. It is situated on almost half a hectare and is an ideal place to relax and recharge your batteries, far away from the hustle and bustle.
The farm offers two comfortable guest rooms and two flats.
Located at the foot of the French Pyrenees, this is an ideal base for an active or relaxing holiday.

Activities
The Pyrenees are a great setting for a range of sporting and adventure activities, including climbing, hiking, fishing, cycling and skiing (December to April). Golf courses are located at Montrejeau and La-Bastide-de-Seran, tennis courts and horse riding are available nearby.
Other activities include: canoeing, mountain biking, white water rafting, caving, forest walks, visiting local markets, museums and historical sites.
If you want to spend a relaxing day, our swimming pool is the place to be!

Familie Decaigny from Destelbergen,
Tijdens het zomerverlof van 2014 hebben we een week verbleven in de Gîte de Figarol en het is daar ons enorm bevallen.
We hebben er een vriendelijk onthaal gekregen, en bij vragen werden we perfect geholpen.
De gîte bezit alle basiscomfort die je nodig hebt, was netjes onderhouden, de bedden waren in een goede staat, maar wat ons het meeste heeft bevallen was toch het enorme terras, vanwaar je een schitterend uitzicht hebt over de Pyreneeën. 's Avonds blijft het er aangenaam warm, en overdag is het er niet snikheet. Bij een buitje kan je nog perfect op het terras blijven zitten, zonder nat te worden.
Ook de omgeving is er prachtig qua natuur. Je kan er eindeloze wandelingen maken, maar de wandeling naar de Cascades d'Ars is ons het meeste bijgebleven. Niet dichtbij (toch een 80km rijden), maar echt de moeite waard. Voor de echte wandelaar kan je volledig rondom de watervallen wandelen, maar informeer eerst heel goed in het toeristisch bureau langs waar je het beste wandelt. (reken toch zeker op 12km stappen)
Verder kan ik je dit verblijf echt wel aanraden, zeker als je een buitenmens bent die van de rust en van de natuur houdt.
Wij hebben hier een super mooi verlof gehad.
