The house
Gite nénuphar (water lily) is a spacious cosy gite decorated in green and white colours. It consists of two floors. Downstairs you will find a large living room with a fireplace, a sitting area with TV and a dining area. The modern equipped open kitchen is connected to the dining area. The kitchen is equipped with an electric fire, oven, microwave, coffee machine, refrigerator, dishwasher... There is an extra refrigerator in the side hall for large families. Downstairs is also one of the three bathrooms, useful if you come from the pool or if you need to go to the toilet during the day.
To be child-friendly, the stairs are closed off with a door downstairs and a children's gate at the top of the stairs.
Upstairs are the 5 bedrooms, the beds of two bedrooms are single box springs that can also be put together to make double beds. We always provide the beds with white bed linen and also provide white bath towels. The beds in the gite nénuphar are of good quality to give you a pleasant night's sleep. Two of the five bedrooms have their own washbasins. There are also two bathrooms upstairs, each with a large walk-in shower, a washbasin and a toilet.
In front of the gite there is a south-facing terrace and a BBQ. To provide shade on the terrace, you can use the electric sunblinds.

The gite is situated on domaine gaury, where we (a family with three children of 10, 8 and 3 years old) also rent two other gites. The three gites are not located next to each other, so each gite has sufficient privacy with its own terrace out of sight of the others. We deliberately keep the number of guests low, so that there is a nice family atmosphere. The children will soon make contact with each other and can play safely on our playground or even around the domain as there is no through traffic. Domaine gaury is arranged in a child-friendly way with a secured and heated swimming pool, a pool house, jacuzzi (free), playground, petanque court, playroom with kicker, air-hockey, darts, billiards, bicycles, ...
Depending on the interest of our guests we also organise a pizza evening in the old bread oven or a BBQ. These are always very pleasant evenings.
The domain is surrounded by fields and woods, so peace and quiet are guaranteed.
At 4 km you find the village Dégagnac with a restaurant, a doctor and a grocery shop.
There are two riding schools in Dégagnac where you can ride a pony or horse. We are also happy to help you on your way for walking or cycling tours with the necessary maps and information.
Gourdon is a 15-minute drive from Gaury and there you will find large shops such as the Carrefour, Intermarché...
Domaine Gaury is in an ideal location for various excursions in the Dordogne, but also in the Lot. Visiting caves, canoeing, hiking, biking, golfing, scouring markets, visiting old villages, zoos,...A true holiday paradise!

Restaurants, food & wine
The cahors wine route. Many manors and castles are happy to present their wines and you can taste them too.
It is a gourmand region with duck, foies gras, nuts, mushrooms, truffles, good cheeses...So many restaurants in the area prepare dishes with these delicacies. Every day, there is a market somewhere with local producers of delicious goat's cheese, other cheeses, wines, vegetables, fruit... Nice to soak up the cosy atmosphere!
Activities
The jacuzzi is free and is situated in a beautiful spot on our domain with a magnificent view. Swim in our heated swimming pool or in the rivers Lot/Dordogne. You can also swim in the 3 nearby swimming ponds, with a restaurant and playground. Canoeing, kayaking or a boat trip can also be experienced on the river Dordogne or the river Lot.
At 300 m from Domaine Gaury you can also go fishing.
Horseback riding in the countryside or taking lessons in the riding school, for the little ones even pony riding.
Several magnificent caves are located at a small distance from our domain and can be visited. With the children it is wonderful to visit animal parks: Parc animalier de Gramat, reptile land, Insectopia, the house of the bees, a monkey forest, a bird show,...
It is also a true cycling paradise, for mountain bikers as well as for regular cyclists, and we have several mapped out routes that we would like to offer you with the necessary explanations. Of course, we also have the outlined walks of the neighbourhood and beyond!
Every day in the morning there are cosy French markets where you can buy delicious local specialities.
Do you want to visit an old castle and see the knights fight, Castelnaud is close to us, the children will love it. Nearby there are also many beautiful old villages where you can stroll and enjoy the atmosphere.

Further remarks
We have a heated swimming pool, so you can swim from April to the end of October. We also have a fantastic jacuzzi with a view over the valley, which we make available to our guests free of charge. We keep the jacuzzi warm all year round. Outside July and August we also offer table d'hôtes. For 30 euro pp we serve a delicious three or four course menu, made with local products, including wine and aperitif. During the months of July and August we organise, depending on the demand, a pizza night in the "four au pain". or a giant BBQ. These evenings are always very pleasant.
As a service we get every morning fresh bread from the bakery for all our guests.
Our prices always include white bed linen, white bath towels and final cleaning.
There is a garage to safely store bicycles or motorcycles.
Cots, chairs, toys and other children's equipment are available free of charge.

The prices here are given for 5 persons. If there is an extra person you have to count on 20€ per day extra. Children under the age of two stay for free.
All our guests have free use of our jaccuzi and all other facilities on our domain. Our swimming pool is heated.
We also provide for free cots, dining sets, toys, potty chairs, a park, ...
